This I thought had a magnetic side. It does not even though the eraser they sent has magnets on it🤷🏼♀️. There are no proper markers that came with it like others and the bottom baskets fall out every time you touch it. The chalk board is not forgiving of the chalk and looks smeared all the time. Bought for 5yo & 7yo siblings to share, they painted together for HOURS on this! Extremely easy to assemble. White board, chalkboard with eraser & chalk, and comes with a roll of paper along with 4 clips to keep paper stationary & secure while painting. The cups are in holders for security, and the lids have a central hole big enough for 1-2 paint brushes and helps keep the pain in control. No flinging the paintbrush out of the cup, the kids were more careful with placement of brush into the cup knowing they had a smaller circumference in which to place the brushes. The baskets hold all the extra stuff: chalk, paint, eraser, clips, etc. The board can be flipped 180 degrees from whiteboard <> chalkboard, and easily secured with two screws on either side which have large ball shaped grip for easy placement/removal of the screws. The wood pieces are very light... it felt fragile when I was assembling the pieces together, but nothing broke during assembly, while moving it from place to place, or while the kids were painting/using the chalkboard. Overall very happy with the purchase. Very well designed for its multi-functional purpose. Update: Feb 2018 the product has been used so many times that we've bought three extra rolls of paper for them at Michael's Arts stores. Fits perfectly. Get a Michaels coupon online :) Also, product is still intact, nothing has broken. It gets moved from room to room and on nice days, the kids paint outside with it. ... show more

This may be the perfect easel! I'm sure there is something not perfect but I've yet to find it. When I opened it I was very pleasantly surprised to see all of the individual pieces were wrapped very well in cloth-like bags. It was a huge relief to not see the usual box full of bubble wrap and/ or Styrofoam. It was very easy to assemble in less than 20 minutes. All of the necessary hardware was present and all holes matched up perfectly when assembled loosely and tightened afterward. 18 inch paper roll is included and very easy to install! Size is amazing. This was purchased as part of my daughter's 4th birthday present. She is a tall 4 year old at 40 inches plus. Most easels I looked at seemed too small or too large. This is going to be perfect for her now and for at least several more years. I learned from reading several other reviews here or elsewhere that chalkboards need "seasoned" prior to use by rubbing the chalk long ways all over the board. I did this and the chalkboard works great. The chalkboard and whiteboard are not magnetic, although the easel comes with a magnetic eraser. It seems sturdy enough. I don't foresee it collapsing at all while in use since it does not fold up, but it isn't too big or bulky so I don't mind that at all. The directions to put it together are confusing, but other than that, it's nice once it's all assembled. It comes in a lot of pieces as well. It takes patience. It took us a month to actually put it together because there were so many pieces and we didn't feel like messing with it.

This keeps my kids solving math problems and do grammar. It’s one of the best things I’ve invested in for kids. I love that both kids can use it at the same time bc there’s too sides. One for dry erase and the other side for using chalk. My son is older so he uses it to teach his little sister about math and sight words. Awesome ... show more

I bought this for my son's 5th birthday. When I ordered it I was worried that it would be too short for him, but it is perfect and will even be great for the next couple of years. The easel is really sturdy and should last a long time. The storage bins at the bottom are perfect for markers, chalk, extra paper, and paints. I love that he can choose what type of artwork he wants to do and already have everything he needs right there. He even fills up the little paint cups by himself when he chooses to paint. My daughter loves this easel!! She is 7 and about 50" tall. It's the perfect height for her. Very sturdy and took me about 20mins to put together mostly by myself. Because it's A-frame you will likely need a second set of hands at certain times to keep if from collapsing in on itself while the other person lines up the holes to put in the screws. Very sturdy. Came with paper roll, chalk and an eraser that she has used for both chalk and dry erase markers. Would def recommend and/or repurchase. ... show more
