We use this item on a recliner with a somewhat flat but somewhat rounded arm. My wife used to put the remote and her phone on the arm and they constantly fell off. I got her this because I got tired of crawling under the recliner to fetch them. The tray stays on the arm of the recliner pretty well. It is a fabric recliner. The material on the back of the tray holds on fairly well and it does not damage the fabric. One testament to how well it works is that it accumulates other items such as pens and nail clippers in addition to the remote and phone. The pockets have proven to be of marginal utility. They are fairly tight and it is hard to put things in them. The pockets are either too deep or too shallow for most things. Small items like fingernail clippers sink to the bottom and are hard to get out. On the other hand, things like our remote control are too long and fall out. But I knocked off one star because the item seems way overpriced. I don't think it will last a full year in its original state. I suspect the long-term survival will involve a lot of repairs with gaffer's tape and other improvised hacks to keep it functioning. ... show more

I like that it handles my tv remote and my cell phone. I like that it stays put. No slipping and sliding. The side pockets work for my landline and other little stuff. I think for families that like bright colors more cool variety could help find new customers. Take a chance add bright red and blue to your palette. Maybe yellow too. Purchased from NEATOPA March 1, 2022. This holder sits between my husbands and my recliners, so we can both access the items in it. I cleaned it up so you would be able to see it lol. Pleanty of space to hold all your needs and if you need it to it would hold your coffee cup, the Velcro is so strong along with the 4 snaps. We have a table to do that so no need for us to do that. It's pretty nice, but no matter what we do the snaps just don't keep the tray attached. We have a pretty square shaped couch and the thing just rounds out and the top pops off. It needs like velcro or some reinforced piece on the base that makes it flat where the tray attaches. Edit: I used some double sided tape to keep the tray in place. I had forgotten I spent like $40 on this because I thought it would be nicer than others. I probably would have returned it instead of using tape if I had been thinking about how expensive this was for how cheaply its made. ... show more

The sofa arm tray looks nice while it's in place. The problem, it's that there is no way to keep the whole thing from sliding. Everytime someone sits next to it, the sliding against it makes it side right out of place. I really wanted to love this, but short of gluing or velcroing? I don't know how to keep it in place! Didn't matter if I have a cover (woven material) or the actual sofa (faux matte leather) . ... show more
