I recently tried the TYR Adult Wrinkle-Free Swim Cap in silicone, and while it has some great features, I found it a bit uncomfortable. Here’s my experience: Pros: • Durable Material: The silicone material is sturdy and feels like it will last. It’s resistant to tears, and I don’t have to worry about it stretching out over time. • Wrinkle-Free Design: The cap does live up to its claim of being wrinkle-free, providing a smooth fit over the head. It feels secure and helps keep hair out of the way while swimming. • Good Water Protection: It does a decent job of keeping my hair dry and prevents water from getting inside the cap, which is great for long swims. Cons: • Too Tight & too small : The biggest issue I had with this swim cap is that it’s just too tight. It feels uncomfortable after wearing it for a while, especially around the forehead and the back of the head. Even though it’s supposed to be “easy,” the fit is too snug for comfort, and it leaves marks on my skin. • Not Ideal for Larger Heads: If you have a larger head or a lot of hair, this cap might be a bit too tight to be comfortable for extended use. It may work better for those with smaller head sizes. Overall: While the TYR Adult Wrinkle-Free Swim Cap is made from high-quality silicone and offers great functionality in terms of keeping hair dry and providing a secure fit, the tightness makes it less than ideal for comfort. It fits well. It kept the top of my head and hair covered. I did have to keep pulling it down because it wouldn't stay down but it was enough to go swimming for a hour and that's what I wanted.

I am new to swimming, so I went with the long con of buying cheap, while seeing if I can stick to an activity before investing in something pricier. This does the job for someone who's just a casual, fun swimmer, but as I got into it, I noticed that at some point it was not covering as much nor clinging as well to my head. Two months (or less, can't recall) in and it snapped. No contact with anything sharp, no snags, no obvious damage prior to using that day, just trying to put it on as usual, and SNAP, it tore on the side and lost all integrity. I ended up swimming without a cap because I was not going as often anyways, but it definitely did not last as long as I had hoped. For the price, and depending on how intense of a swimmer you are, it does the job, but if you know you are going to be a prolific swimmer or would rather invest in something more longterm, this is may not be it. I am debating about purchasing it again because I am resuming swimming soon and again may not be able to continue for long, if that one is better or not, I will be sure to review. ... show more

This cap is both too tight and yet NOT waterproof. My hair was soaked. I do have latex allergies, but this is supposed to be made out of silicon and it gave me a rash on my forehead. This is a reputable brand so I don’t understand these issues. If you’re looking for a cap, that will keep your hair dry. This is absolutely not it and I have a small head. ... show more

In 40+ years of swimming this is THE BEST RACING CAP I have ever had. My skull is oval any every other cap forms a wave of wrinkles on the top. No big deal training. With regular silicon caps I have a rooster comb on top at the end of every workout, not what I want in a race. Wear it for all distances from 50 yard sprints to 10K races and it has never come off.
