  • Perfect Fit!
After a trip to Firestone, and being told that no matter what they did, they couldn't get a new condenser unit for my 2008 Escape. They referred me to a Ford dealer. They are booked out for a month. I live in Florida. So in my disgust, I ordered this particular condenser based on the negative reviews saying that the inlets are the wrong size. I figured that since evidently the condensers located in town wouldn't fit, this would be a safe bet. I noticed in the description that the years it fit range from 2008-2008. That tells me that it's intended to be used on a 2008. My gamble paid off. It was a perfect fit all the way around. If you are given the same story by a national chain shop, save yourself the headache and buy this. Now we just wait and see what happens over the next few months. ... show more

My husband and I installed this ourselves and saved about 400.00 doing it ourselves. The cover removal took longer than installing the part. Well worth it though.

  • Good but not perfect
Everything fit except the transmission cooler lines were to small, other than that it fit good for my 09 escape

  • Inlet size and outlet size is 3/8 and not the factory 5/8 as advertised
This A/C condenser has attached to it a transmission oil cooler it is one unit. The transmission oil cooler hose connections (which is also the tubing used throughout the oil cooler) is the wrong size. It states in the ad that the inlet size is 5/8 and the outlet size is 5/8 . . . WRONG!! TYC 3675 Ford Escape Parallel Flow Replacement Condenser This means that the cooler can not cool the same amount of oil as the stock one did. smaller size = less volume. It may not be a factor as long as you aren't towing or live in the desert. The smaller connections due pose a big problem when trying to reconnect the cooler lines as the stock hose 5/8 hose is much to big to tighten up on a 3/8] connection. I didn't notice the size mismatch until i already had this unit installed and went to hook the lines back up. Now i will have to locate a reduction hose barb and a set of clamps to correct the problem. This company should have done their homework before manufacturing and quality control should have caught this before shipping. Too much hassle to remove repackage and return but still a big problem. Sellers like Amazon need to be more strict on their suppliers as this could become a serious problem for internet sales in the future. ... show more

  • Trans cooling lines wrong diameter.
The unit looked like an exact replacement until I got it in place and tried to connect the transmission cooling lines. The Diameter (OD) of the lines on the replacement were to small for the hoses coming from the trans. It was a perfect fit in every other way but it does you no good if the cooling lines won't attach. If your supposed to use some hose adapters or something it should be included or at least noted. I sent it back and took the Escape to a shop. Didn't want to take the change of getting another brand and have the same issue. ... show more
