Bought two of them, both setup in 2 hours each. Fairly simple, seems sturdy provided it is stoutly anchored to the wall in studs ideally. Only writing a review since there were few and it met my needs for a high rail loft bed for my 8 and 6 year old with a 10" mattress. Only negative I would give it is for an adult to crawl up those steps they are narrow and steep, kids manage fine but hurts my feet to get up there, this said I am a large guy (260lbs) so may not bother a smaller individual. Also be prepared making the bed is a PITA, nothing aganist the bed, just the nature of the beast. ... show more

Got this bed for our smaller framed 12 year old. Took about 3 hours to put together (without total concentration we were watching a sports game) instructions were very “ikea”-ish but not as good, took a second or two to figure what was what. Box is very heavy on arrival, it would be helpful to have two to carry around. I am very happy with the deep top part of the bed and how much the railing goes above our thick mattress. The stairs are steep (obviously) we were use to one with an angled ladder but this one is straight, but the steps do have texture. I am able to fit in the “hole” to change sheets and do what is needed up top haha. Looks great, and does what we needed it to do! Four stars based on instructions.     • Great loft- needs to be anchored to wall.

It is great, but it definitely needs to be anchored to the wall. They provide anchors, but they pulled the loft off of the floor, so we had to go buy better anchors to secure her bed to the wall. Once we did that, it quit creaking, wasn't wobbly, and was very secure, so our daughter felt safe in it.
