I Have a n Accord 2011 EX-L model and I have a garage where accuracy of parking is paramount as slight miss here and there can cause the side of car to scrap on the side white wall. I had 2 such instances and white paint had scrapped off on the sides of my car. I inquired with some Car Detail shops and the cost of getting rid of paint was coming in upwards of 50 bucks. I searched online and came across this rubbing compound and how it can take care of paint scraps. I ordered some applicator pads and microfiber cloths along with it. I applied the compound and I wont lie, it took a lot of rubbing to take out the paint, you will sweat for sure. You will have to apply the compound two three times and it will take at least 15-20 minutes for the paint to come off. But the end result was sweet, It looked spotless and clean. It looses its shine a little bit but not very noticeable. But if you are very fussy about it, order some Wax as well and wax it up after cleaning the scraps. I will recommend this compound for sure. 4 starts because it took lot of effort to take paint off else would have given 5 stars.

This was my first try at rubbing compound and I have not been disappointed so far. I bought this to remove scratches on my truck bed rail and around my wife's door handles where her nails have scratched it. This applies and removes easily and works amazingly. I was able to get out what I thought were serious scratches on my bed rail from a load of dirt/rocks. It looks and shines like new now. Also, on the door handles, this polished all of the minor scratches out in no time. Just a quick coat of wax after use and everything shone like new. One thing I have been surprised about using this was the pre-wax use. I hadn't waxed my wife's SUV in a while and when I applied the wax it was very tough to bring to a polish. I use a carnuba wax that generally is very easy on/off and easy to bring to a mirror finish. So, I tried this. I put this on, let it dry to a haze, buffed it off, and tried the wax again. I was absolutely amazed at the difference it made in the ease/outcome of the wax. I did the whole SUV that way and it actually sped up my process even though I essentially waxed it twice. It was so easy on/off with the wax that I was able to get really good results in less time because I used this rubbing compound first. I'm so happy with this that it'll be a permanent staple in my detailing que for some time to come.

This will give your car paint job a good shine. That is what this product is good for. I used a buffer and this product to try and remove some 2500 grit sand paper marks from my front fender and it did not remove them, even after reapplying and buffing 4 times. The rest of the car looks amazing, but this product is not something that will remove even the smallest scratches...it is only good for shining up the paint job before a wax sealant.

I had an accident on Friday on my brand new car and although it didn't seem to be horrible I freaked out. Found out about the rubbing compound from Turtle and this wax. Decided to try today and I got amazed by! Both products are very use to use but and can be used either manually or with a machine. I personally did all process manually and believe it's easier considering smaller areas. You don't want the product to touch the plastic areas. Washed my car and after dry used the rubbing in a very small amount. I did spread nicely and rubbed a little hard, since the scratches were kinda of deep. When the rubbing dried I applied the wax. The wax comes with a sponge which is very nice, so you don't need to buy one. I applied in circles and before it gets dry I rubbed off the wax with a clean microfiber towel. The whole process didn't take even 10 minutes. Don't know yet about durability of it but for now I can say that Turtle really have good products. Got my car fixed for less than 15 dollars. Amazing!!

When i used to sell car spoilers, I saw the paintshop would use something to buff the painted spoilers to shine like a mirror. Sometimes I would go to a car wash and they would show something fancy that if I go for a detail wash which would cost about $79.99, the guy flipped out a bottle of magic lotion and rub it on my car and BAMM! the scuff marks would disappear. He said if I go for the $79 wash, he would find all of the scuff marks on my car and get rid of them for free. There was no way I would pay $80 for a car wash. So I came home researched online exactly what is the magic lotion used by the paintshop or the car wash. Sure enough, it's called rubbing compound. Without further delay, I ordered it on Amazon and it came in just a couple of days. I immediately tried it on the scuff marks on the bumper and on the inside of the door handle where the rings and fingernails would scratch and result in thousands of black thin lines. It literally disappears before my eyes. The scuff marks faded and disappeared after only a few rubs and the fine black scratch lines inside the door handles even though difficult to reach (using terry cloth with 2 fingers), I rubbed it and all 4 door handles are now shining as if they were new!!! So there you have it, 5 stars, excellent product and company and shipping time. this is the best $8 ever spent on my car. I guess you can reapply it once per year to keep the dealer shine all the time.
