Deck shoes, slip on shoes, boat shoes, loafers…I’m not how to properly refer to the TUOPIN Mens Slip On Shoes. I suppose that they could be rightly designated as any of the above depending on one’s needs. The TUOPIN Mens Slip On Shoes are quite comfortable with thick inside padding. The soles are grippy. Tuopin claims that the soles are non-marking. Tuopin refers to these shoes as “boat shoes”. Since the soles are grippy, I would agree that they could be considered “boat shoes” provided that the claim of “non-marking soles” were true. I generally prefer my non-marking boat shoes to have white soles. Since the soles of the TUOPIN Mens Slip On Shoes are primarily black, I will not be testing them on somebody’s pristine white boat deck. The uppers are made of “umbrella cloth”. This does make the shoes lightweight and water resistant. I find them to slip on easily and to be quite comfortable for walking. They are not, however, step ins. The stitchwork is tight. My biggest complaint about the TUOPIN Mens Slip On Shoes is the size chart on the Amazon web page. I normally wear size 9 or 9.5 in footwear. My barefoot measures out to 260mm. According to the Amazon web page size chart, I should have ordered a size 7 in the TUOPIN Mens Slip On Shoes. I really did not want to end up with shoes that are too small, so I ordered size 9. These are a bit too big. Probably an 8 or 8.5 would have fit me better. The shoes that I received are quite roomy in width, but I will need to add heel pads so that they fit more securely. Based on my experience, I believe that sizing down 1 full size from your normal will probably work well. Size down ½ size from your smallest size if you are in between sizes (like me). Anyway, that is my best guess. Summary: The TUOPIN Mens Slip On Shoes are lightweight and water resistant. They have good traction and non-marking soles (not tested). They are well constructed slip-ons, but they are not step-ins. The size chart is dubious. Correct sizing will require some guesswork, but the shoes are returnable.

I’ll admit these caught my attention first, as I thought they were attractive in a casual way. The real challenge would be if hubs felt the same. Once they arrived, I knew right away these would be winners, not just in my eyes but hubs too. Was I right… of course I was! He loves them. Not only for the casual yet cool vibe. The comfort level is off the charts. If I’ve learned anything in my almost 30 years of marriage. Unlike myself, my hubby will alway put comfort first and foremost (me on the other hand… well, there are always exceptions to be made) Think of these as if a tennis shoe meets deck shoe. They have a similar feel. Well cushioned with a thick, yet flexible outsole. I chose the dark navy blue in his regular size 9. The fit is true and fits well without issue. They are striking. As black is always a safe choice. Dark Navy can often achieve the same results as, and often worn in place of. Just a little twist, mix it up some. It’s fun! Shoes are beautifully constructed. The fabric is that of a nylon feel, thick yet breathable of sorts. Regardless they should clean off well when the time comes. They’re lightweight, another plus. No one enjoys a pair of shoes that are heavy. Myself included. While these do lean more casual. They look quite handsome paired with a pair of slacks and a more structured tee. Worn equally as well when paired with a nice dress short and short sleeve button up, left out. Or throw them on for errands around town in a pair of athletic joggers. They’re versatile enough for many looks. He’s happy, I’m happy - as I said above the shoes are a winner and I’m really glad I took a leap and grabbed them. As we knew already, I was right. Perhaps I should grab another pair, another color… haha

Understand that these shoes will not win any style awards: they look like the shoes your 80 year old grandpa would wear as he shuffles down the sidewalk to the bingo parlor. However: - They are comfortable. The fabric uppers are polyester-ish, pretty soft and flexible, and the soles have a decent amount of give to them. The soles themselves are 2 layers, the inner/upper is white and very compressible, the lower is black and harder. They are not super light (average, not heavy), that plus the harder lower sole makes me think the soles might wear pretty well. - Easy to slip on and off. There is a little bit of stretchy elastic-type cloth where the tongue meets the sides of the body, so you have a little flexibility to get them on and off - Size is about right. I typically wear a 10W or a 10-11 regular, I ordered 11s and these fit just about the way I like. - The navy blue color is very dark, similar to the listing photos: it looks black in some light. Would I rather pay $20 than $30? Of course, I'm cheap. Are these worth $30? I think so, because I think they will last for at least a couple of years.

I've been using these shoes for just under a month now and they're great! I'd been needing a pair of "easy to slip on" shoes to throw on when I go outside temporarily. Previously I'd just throw on my tennis shoes for the moment, but I typically don't take the time to deal with lacing them and just tuck the laces into the shoes alongside my feet. But then they pop back out and drag around on the ground - a potential trip hazard, or *worse* if I'm dealing with "cleaning up" after our two large dogs! These slip on shoes fill my need to have a comfortable pair of shoes that I can readily slip on in a moment; are comfortable with good feel and fit; and provide reliable traction for tooling around in the yard in varying conditions (e.g. wet pavement or some sandy, slippery areas). Since the back part of the shoe is fairly soft, I do have to use either my fingers or a shoe horn to help slip my heel into the back of the shoe, but that's a very small effort needed in exchange for having great, reliable footwear. Highly recommended!
