The holster is perfect! Holds my snowshoes snugly. Velcro loops hold the poles as well. Did the Snowshoe for a Cure in Colorado this weekend and having my snowshoes made it so easy to carry my gear. While everyone was struggling with all of their stuff, I was able to move with ease and not worry. When we started the 5K, I put my holster in my backpack. This is why I wanted the holster instead of the bag. Does not take too much room up in my backpack. After the 5K, I pulled out the holster and bundled up my gear. By the time the bus took us back to our vehicle, my snowshoes were dry and I was able to put them in the cab of the truck. Very simple, basic piece of gear. My biggest problems was trying to keep the shoes together. This takes care of all of that. Fit a variety of sized shoes and secures them in the carrier very nicely. I was thinking this would be a little bit more substantial than it was. Its only two flaps that snap together on the bottom. Nothing really holds in the snowshoes but you can tighten the straps enough that they do not come out. There is also a place for your poles so that is a nice add on. Great little carry bag for your snowshoes (short trips). You definitely need the Tubbs back for long trips though as this shoulder strap is not comfortable.
