  • Tubbs Flex Alps are super snowshoes
Color: Lime Green Size: 25
I have worn Tubbs snowshoes for abour 40 years here in Alaska. I decided to try the Flex Alp style because we have record snowfall. These are my first pair with claws and side rails on the bottom. Its fantastic to be able to go out in unbroken terrain and go up and downhill. I just love the traction. These bindings are very easy to get into and out of and i have more than one boot style i use. A plus for me was that Outland USA sent my order right away. In a very few days they arrived at my post office carefully packaged and in perfect shape. Thanks to them i am outside enjoying every day in the snow. ... show more

  • If they fit your boots you'll like them
Color: Lime Green Size: 25
First, the seller (Back Country) is a great company who I've used many times, which is why I took a shot at buying these online. I've used multiple snowshoe brands over the years and wanted to try one of the latest style of bindings. Out of the box I was very impressed with the bindings. Maybe just bad luck but none of the 3 pairs of boots I use for different weather/temp conditions would fit in the binding correctly. The best fit (NF GTX sz11) was tight as a glove fully inserted into binding but the snowshoes would be very pigeon toed when walking. The worst fit (-40F 11.5), the bigger toe box wouldn't fit into binding at all. These use an asymmetrical approach for connecting the binding to the front of the crampons where the right-side rigid connection point is further forward than the one on the left-side (pic), so the shape and size of the boot's toe box seems to impact the binding's fit for different boots. Based on other reviews, a lot of people are having great success with binding fit so either ensure a seller accepts returns or, better yet, try them on somewhere first with the boots you'll wear. The ease of getting into and out of these bindings while at the trailhead or on the trail would have far surpassed my present two pairs of backcountry snowshoes. I wouldn't have returned these except for the bindings not fitting my current boots (which cost far more than the snowshoes). I'll keep looking. ... show more
