I bought this to calibrate the new scales I bought. I calibrated the scale and it said “PASS”, so it was calibrated. Then I took the weight to my large food scale and the weight weighed 449 grams but it was supposed to be 500 grams. I think the price is too high for this item. I have used this weight to verify the accuracy of my home scale that I bought recently for package shipping. I had no way of knowing how accurate the scale was because I had no verified comparison weight. As you can see in the photo the 500 gram calibration weight I received was shown as 500 grams on the scale reading. I ordered the 500gm version. It is well made and not much to say other than it works as it should. It is nice to know if my scales are right,, or off, and I don't have to rely on only the scale's calibration feature. It is good to have an independent verification source.
