  • Fun way to have kids participate in traveling adventure
Color: Frank Fire Truck (Red)
Our kids are excited to pack their suitcases and ride them around the airport. The suitcases look sturdy and I think they are the right size for our 4-yo twin boys. I worried that they would get tired of dragging it around and I would have to lug it around but the pull strap doubles as an over the shoulder strap. We bought two and expect that it will help keep them occupied during our layover. ... show more

  • This suitcase packs lots of FUN!
Color: Bernard (Yellow)
The two kids I have (currently 5YO and 3YO) found this very fun and entertaining when traveling from the East Coast to the West Coast (via four plane rides and 4 airports) this past month. Their cousins- who traveled with us and their parents- loved it too. They would all take turns riding on it and/or pulling it around. They made up songs about the bumblebee and just really enjoyed it. I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone who has small~ish children like mine. The reasons it did not get 5 out of 5 stars: The strap is probably a perfect length for a kid, but for your average size adult (that is me) it was a bit short and therefore annoying; my kids will, very soon, be too long/tall to truly enjoy this type of suitcase as something to "play with" but of course they can still use it and it will function as a roller suitcase- that they cannot ride (which makes me think that it will be the perfect thing to hand-down to another family member or friend who travels with younger kids through airports); the inside strap that you connect to "hold things" on one side of the suitcase is a joke. Otherwise it is a functioning suitcase the could pack TONS of fun with you on your next trip! ... show more

  • Not Swirling Wheels
Color: Frank Fire Truck (Red)
This is just okay. My little one loves it, but the wheels don't turn. It only goes straight. The lock in one of the sides broke the first time it was used. Definitely not impressed or easy to use. I recommend to invest in one with swirling wheels to make it easy to pull and travel.

  • Too expensive
Color: Frank Fire Truck (Red)
Good idea, fun for my kid but way too expensive to buy and use maybe once every 5 years, not worth it. I buy stuff that are useful and logical...and I'm frugal.

  • My child LOVES this! And a great item to entertain them at the airport
Color: Frank Fire Truck (Red)
It fits a decent amount of things. I used this as a carry-on luggage for my toddler to put toys/books/stickers in to entertain him at airports and on our long haul flights. He loved riding on this through the airports and it was really great for those long treks from check-in to the actual gate (our longest one was a 15min brisk walk!). The fire truck design is one of the more expensive ones but I think it is well worth it as I personally think it is one of the best looking ones and my child was really impressed by it when he saw it. It rolls reasonably well even on the plastic wheels and steers fine - you do have to watch that you're not going too fast around a corner and accidentally swing it out into other people walking and have to watch it going down a slope as it does catch some speed. The wheels are made a little bumpy when it rolls along which I didn't expect but my son actually enjoyed this and would go "ahhh" while being juddered becoming an entertainment for others seeing us. ... show more

  • Great, but can't attach trunki tote inside in this version
Color: Blue
Ordered this one for my godson for his 3rd Birthday to come. Terrance is vibrant colors! Very attractive! My daughter loves her trunki (she has a previous version in green). This last new version does not have a clips for the trunki tote (sold separately) to be attached inside. My daughter's trunki has those and it is very convenient to have the tote secured inside the suitcase when it is not loaded, so her stuff won't be shaking around inside. Newer version has skinny pocket attached inside, but to me it seems a little useless as it is skinny and long.. Trunki is an awesome piece for your toddler! It looks so great, everybody asks where to get it when you walk with it in the airport. My daughter rides it home sometimes, so it could make a nice ride on toy. Besides it being very nice looking suitcase it is a great parent's helper in the airport when you have to wait sometimes for hours and want to keep your child entertained somehow. Kids pull it with the pull strap or ride it. Also I think every kid will enjoy to have his/her own suitcase and pack it for the trip. ... show more

  • Just "ok"
Color: Bernard (Yellow)
We bought this for a recent trip to Washington that would involve two flights there and two flights back. Read lots of reviews, watched videos, and decided to pull the trigger on one right before we left. I had this vision of my toddler happily riding this through the airport instead of me carrying him around everywhere. Upon opening the box and inspecting the unit, I wasn't super impressed with the quality for how much these things cost ($50+). Nothing in particular was broken or failing to work, but the unit in its entirety feels cheaply made. My 2.5 year old is pretty small for his age, and he seemed on the verge of being too big to ride this suitcase. The unit was smaller than I expected, so when my toddler sits on it, it just looks a bit awkward. Another issue we encountered was there is nothing to hold onto while riding except the black "horns" protruding from the front. For some reason I though he would be holding onto the black straps on the top but it turned out that isn't realistic, as they actually sit on those straps. Unfortunately having to hold onto the horns causes the toddler to awkwardly lean and hunch forward to be able to ride. I believe this in part is one of the main reasons he lost interest in riding it so quickly once we arrived at the airport. Another quirk is the front wheels don't pivot, so to turn you have to yank on the tow strap left or right constantly to get it to change direction. A bit tricky on tile, but quite awkward on carpet. Between the quirky steering, small size, and awkward riding position, my toddler quickly lost interest. At the airport in Washington, we spotted another dad holding a toddler in his arms and pulling a riderless Trunki. My wife and I glanced at each other and gave that "look" to one another as we also carried our toddler pulling our riderless Trunki behind us struggling to get it to follow due to the non swiveling front wheels. Maybe I was expecting to much, but in the end it just didn't seem practical for the price. ... show more
