The inner tierod has no wrench flats exactly like the original part. If you measure from the inner edge of the joint to the stem on the outer tierod before disassembling, you can reset it back to the same length after reassembling. The TRQ tierod set were a perfect fit,and great quality.

I bought this for my wifes car a 2014 toyota camry SE 2.5L because they were blown. The install took a little bit of time because i wanted to make sure everything was right and it was also 20 degrees outside. They torqued easily. I have done many tie rod replacements and one thing I noticed on most aftermarket tie rods was they had poor threads which cased difficulty on install and required to warranty replace for one with better threads. These specific ones were some of the best ive ever seen in terms of aftermarket quality. It is decently priced sure there are cheaper but how everything in terms of quantity and being a set for both sides its a great deal. I was skeptical at first on some of the 1 star reviews but I believe that some times quality falls through the cracks and a poorly made one gets shipped to a customer. I dont think I got lucky on terms of quality but the metal is made well and the ball is great because my wifes inner tie rod was loose this one was stiff but moved freely the ball joint was stiff but through my tests it functioned great just make sure you install it properly and dont be nervous on the 1 star reviews because I think they installed them incorrectly because its hard for me to believe that these are poorly made from my test. ... show more

In my adventures to replace a ball joint and hub assembly on my 2013 avalanche, I decided that while I had the front end apart, I might as well replace most of the steering and suspension parts. The OEM tie rods on the passenger and driver side, while still sturdy, were likely to start going out any year now, so they were added to the list of extraneous items to swap out. These were slightly more bulky and solid than the original tie rods that were from the factory. I found that the removal and install were much easier to deal with using a long socket style tie rod removal tool that I got from Harbor Freight. The only complaint I had with that process was how easy it was for the crows foot to slip forward and backward. So being able to maintain proper contact and get the 111 ft lbs of torque asked for within the specs on the truck (or thereabouts) while not damaging the rest of the steering components was a little more challenging than I had hoped. The set came with the lube to apply to the ball joint of the inner rod. Would have been nice to have a boot cover and clamp to replace the crimped style clamp from the factory in the set. Not the end of the world. Reused the old boot cover and a thinner 3" radiator clamp to secure it. Outer tie rod screwed on like a champ. Nice and smooth. Counted the grooves of the inner rod to get close to the proper positioning. I knew I was going in for an alignment after messing with all of the parts, so I wasn't worried about precision. You could also count rotations of the outer rod and get a similar result. Tightened down the bolt to the outer rod, and that part of the job was done. Seems very secure. Very sturdy. And hoping this lasts the remaining life of the truck. Will update should anything happen to these. ... show more

Finally had a break in the winter weather 3/14/2026. I got around to installing this on my 1999 Sahara. The passenger side tie rod ball joint was bad. That is the common side to fail first based on the "Y" steering linkage design. Sadly you cannot just replace tie rod end on the drag link. I purchased an open box for $22 shipped. Crazy low price, it was a no brainer. However... this kit does not have zerk fittings so I cannot grease these over time. No idea how long they will hold up but for the price it was certainly worth getting. Since it was opened, it was missing the cotter pins, not a bid deal at all. However, all the parts a were not secured and hit each other causing a few dents in the tie rod end threads (see my pics). This did cause a challenge when threading, but eventually worked itself out. Overall happy with the kit, its below to average quality. I plan on doing an XJ tie rod upgrade the next time i replace the linkage. I do not go offroad, and I have 33x11x17 tires. ... show more

I’m completely disappointed in this part I order this for my Mazda because it said that it fits my car and it did not fit my car at all and because I live in the Bahamas the option to return the product cost a lot and now I’ve been stuck with a part that I absolutely cannot use and don’t even know if I can be refunded back my funds at this point which I definitely would like because the part is completely useless to me wanted to contact the customer service department but didn’t fully know how to until now ... show more
