Purchased used and item came covered in mud. Original box/packing was destroyed, but this was expected buying used. While cleaning up horseshoes, however, I weighed them. Standard horseshoe is 2.5 lbs, while these were 2.0 lbs. standard stake is 1” dia and these were about 3/8”. Also, thought I remembered shoes advertised as forged- these were only casted and more likely to break. Probably worth what I paid, but I’ll likely return. ... show more

Everything is solid made but I want to build a proper horseshoe setup. The stakes are 20” long, The proper length is supposed to be 36” 16” is supposed to be out of the ground after hammering it in, that would give you 4” in the ground, which obviously is not nearly enough
