Initially got a ladder golf made out of pvc plastic. The cross pieces flexed way too much and they all cracked and broke. The wooden one is the only way to go. Couldn’t be easier to put together and this one is much more durable. It’s worth the extra cost.

It was super easy to assemble and I think the quality is pretty good. I like that the bars have the number of points represented by color bands, and I also like that you can change where they go (like 3 point bar doesn’t have to be the top one if you don’t want it to be). The bolas are hard and kinda heavy, feel just like golf balls so they travel hard and fast. My friend has this game that is metal ladders and the bolas are like a heavy foam (dense like a nerf football). I think I’d prefer the heavy foam balls to the hard plastic. I’m not sure if this was because my 2yo nephew kept rocking the apparatuses and pulling on them and maybe touching the knob bolts, but the bolts holding the uprights sturdy came loose a bit at the base and had to keep being re-tightened, and one of the bolts holding one of the rails to the upright came off completely during gameplay. So...I bought these to make perches for my hens. Sorry to all the ladder toss players 🤣 These are perfect though. They were pretty easy to put together, although a couple of the inner rungs were a little short and hard to get the screws in. Didn't fit 100% but I was able to force it to work. My hens love it and they use them daily. They're pretty durable bc I've had them since before summer exposed to all the weather and they're still doing fine. ... show more

Our whole extended family (from grandkids to grandmas) loves this game! Easy to play, and the wooden (more expensive) version is holding up great, and breaks down easily for transport to the beach, park, family reunions, etc. Highly recommend!
