Appearance-wise, it looks as advertised. As with most furniture you have to assemble yourself nowadays, don't expect it to be like the solid wood furniture of the past. That said, unless you're hosting a fight or are friends with a few bulls, that shouldn't be an issue. On the bright side, it proves we are doing a small part in mitigating the climate crisis by letting old-growth forests be. Now to follow up on the headline. I might be repeating what others have already said, but just to be safe, here are some assembly tips: - The included manual is pretty bare-bones but IS serviceable. Incoming condescension /s: as with most things in life, applying a bit of common sense when in doubt can really help. Pattern recognition, etc. In all seriousness, there are spare parts included, namely thread plugs, so if some are missing as some other reviews have mentioned, it does seem like the manufacturer has addressed some of the issues. - Don't tighten any screws completely until all the ones at the same level are on. If you find that the edges don't line up as well as you would like, loosen the screws, hold the offending parts flush, then tighten. - Pay attention to which side is up/down, left and right. The pieces are labeled, and some are asymmetrical. I was careless and didn't take my own advice of applying common sense (ashamed hippo) and ended up with two feet plugs on the wrong end. If that happens to you, you need to break the vacuum in order to remove them. Find a good cutlery knife and shimmy it in the sides, making sure the knife goes past ~ 1.5 inches or so. Work your way around the sides, repeating if necessary until enough of it comes out that you can remove it by hand. - Speaking of the foot plugs, the height of the padding is adjustable. If you find the shelf wobbly, try playing around with them individually until the shelf is leveled. Hope this helps! ... show more

I was excited to get this piece. It came in packaged well, which was the only plus about this purchase. As I opened the package, everything was there. Nothing was labeled so it was a guessing game as to which item was which. The screws were not labeled and one of the Allen wrenches that came in didn't even fit the screws, it was a good thing I had one of my own on hand. The instructions were not understandable. It was a guessing game to put it together with just pictures alone. After my son and myself got the frame put together, we began working on the shelves. What a NIGHTMARE. The holes either weren't drilled in the proper place, aligned improperly or were holed out with no threading for the screws to go in. The 2 shelves we were able to screw in, weren't aligned. they were too short on one side, too long on the other or they weren't angled. I originally emailed the seller about sending me 2 replacement shelves, but as we went along finding more shelving issues, we just took it apart and packaged it back up. I email asking for a return label for a refund. I also paid for additional insurance on the item in the case there was anything that went wrong with it, however the whole thing is wrong. I've also asked for a refund on the additional 3 year protection. I'm hoping the seller gets back to me with return instructions or I will be forced to contact Amazon directly and fight it out with them. I'll send an update as things go forward. Update: they requested photos so I put it back together. As you can see, the shelves are too short for the bars, can't even use one shelf due to no threads for the Allen screws to hold it into place. Still waiting for a response in regards to the issues I have. Update: They promised to replace the shelves and send the missing plastic screws. Update: They have decided they will only send me the plastic screws and a refund of $30, which I agreed to. Update: Was contacted by another person at the company.. they want measurements for the shelf. Update: They are sending out the threads for the allen screws, however they are not replacing the shelves that are too short and misaligned. They are trying to say the shelf is not shorter that the frame. They continue to ask for photos and give me a run around. I was promised a $30 refund for the top shelf being too short, and then went back on it saying that they needed more photos to prove that it's too short. I'm not sure how many photos and at how many different angles to send. They have also promised an additional 6 month warranty, but what's the point if they can't even fix the issues I currently have. The warranty is supposed to cover ANY issues. not ones that they decide is worthy. I am not blind. you can clearly see in the images I have attached that the shelf is too short. Different angles wont make the shelf get any bigger. I have contacted Amazon Customer service about the horrible customer service I am getting, the items and refund I was promised and now am not getting. This company will give you a huge run around. And to think, this has been going in circles long enough for me to be able to submit a claim through the Amazon A to Z claims. ... show more
