    • A great shoe for custom inserts

After reading all her reviews and saying that this issue was described as oversized, I immediately thought I should order these to see if prescribed ortho insoles fit in these. I’ve been in search of more platform type of converse dupes that won’t break the bank. There are so many reasons to love these. He installs that are already in the shoes came out perfectly. I read a review that said it had a raised Heal that is part of the insert. I was able to take that part out as well before putting in my custom inserts. One of my concerns was the toe box area after putting in my inserts. I was afraid they were going to hurt my toes, but it totally does not. To be fair I typically buy a half size bigger because I like more toe room, I have inset toe nails that can cause an ingrown toenail pretty easy. This had plenty of room for the insert and the toe box area isn’t too crowded. I love that there is a zipper on the side for easy shoe removal. Feel like the soul itself at a bit more movement. I would like it’s a bit more dependable than I was hoping for. I almost wish the platform was thicker and it didn’t bend as much because I do have arthritis in my feet. The shoe I typically should wear should not have very much give, but this still works. The ankle is a bit snug but I feel like that’s typical for this type of shoe. As far as weight, I feel like the are fairly lightweight but also clunky because of the sole. I normally wear a 8 - 8.5 depending on the shoe. This suggested a 9 so I went with it. It is too big even after tightening the laces. They are somewhat comfy but the flop on my foot. They are a little darker than I wanted them to be but I will make it work for especially for the price.

I bought these for work because I usually wear the real converse but they always get destroyed. So I wanted a dupe that I wouldn’t be upset about ruining. And these are super cute! They’re honestly even kinda cuter than the real thing. Also the inside zipper is gonna be so nice for getting them on and off after a long shift. They also seem like the black rubber sole will be non-slip which is why I usually go with platforms because they have more rubber and bounce/give to them. I haven’t worn them for a work shift yet (I am a bartender) but they seem like they will be comfortable. I added an insole. The only thing that might be annoying is the top edge ankle area is a little stiff and might rub over time, I will just have to wear taller socks and hopefully they soften over use. ... show more

Well made, no weird chemical odors, really convenient side zipper, great tread, literally makes you taller, lightweight, but dang, they hurt. My dogs were barking by the end of wearing them the full day! Because I wore them outside, I don’t think I’d be able to return them now, so I just hope they will get broken in at some point.
