  • Awesome chair!!
I bought two of these chairs and we’re buying a third before long. Why spend a hundred dollars or more on a chair? This chair is absolutely perfect. It’s lightweight. Easy to set up very durable. Holds the weight of a normal adult. It’s easy to get in and out of as well and I have a bad back. I like the mesh fabric, which is very strong and durable. It allows for breathability, and in case it gets wet it’s easy to dry out quick. It’s well worth the money my kid even with using it as a rocking chair which drove me crazy because I thought he would break it, but he didn’t all in all. This is a fantastic product. I take it everywhere now it doesn’t sit too low to the ground it doesn’t sit too high. It has very good back support also - well worth it. ... show more

  • What I needed
I wanted a chair that was lightweight and small enough to put in a bag and so I wouldn't feel weighed down and this chair is exactly that. At first it I didn't think I would be able to assemble it. Here's a tip: assemble the frame first. Then start with the bottom portion. Insert one leg and then detach the other bottom leg from the upper joint rather than from the base. Slip on the fabric and then force the leg back in. It takes a little muscle and is easier to tell if it snaps back in completely than if you were to detach from the base. Repeat for the top portion. You could say it's unstable however I use that feature to sway in it during an outside concert on a lawn. I wouldn't try to sit on a unleveled rocks. ... show more

  • Light but flimsy
Short Version: Like the weight and the comfort, but the fabric tore within the first few uses. I simply shifted my weight and heard a terrible tear. I weight 190lbs. This chair has a great price to weight ratio. On my scales it came in at 1lb 8 oz without the stuff sack and 1lb 10 ounces with the sack. The chair does sit low to the ground but I didnt find that to be a problem. What I did find to be a problem was the way the chair leaned fairly far back and had a low back (at least for a guy who is 6'1") I felt like it I sat in the chair for an extended period of time my neck would start to hurt from holding my neck up while in a very reclined position. The deal breaker was when I shifted my weight and the seat tore. Very glad it happened while I was still within the return window. ... show more

  • Awesome chair and awesome customer service!!!!!
I love my chair! I'm a 67 year old backpacking woman on a budget and to find an affordable chair was amazing! It's built well and easy to put together! But what I really like is their customer service! I had an issue with the seat cover and it was taking care of in less than 48 hours! WOW, unbelievable with the crappy customer service now a days! If you want to spend your hard earned $$$$ on a name on a label please do so but if you want a light weight, comfy chair with excellent customer service get yourself a Trekology. I would buy another one tomorrow!!!! Poppy loves it too!!! AKA Birdie ... show more

  • Perfect, for me.
Bought this chair for a kayak camping trip my bf and I did with some friends. I scoured Amazon and YouTube reviews looking for a chair that was sturdy, comfortable, light and compact. I purchased 6 different chairs to test out and ended up picking this one for myself. PROS: It's lightweight... Packs down small... Has one slim, stretchy pocket on the side... Materials dry quickly... Felt very stable (aka, not tippy)... Pull loops on the corners to help setup and takedown... Available ground mat to purchase for feet in sand/soft ground (which I did and it worked well, also helped to hold the chair down in wind) CONS: Lower to the ground than others we trialed, which made getting in, but mostly getting out a little more challenging... Lower profile also put components closer to the sand which finds it's way everywhere, like in the hubs making it a little gritty to pull apart (minor issue only)... Only one skinny pocket compared to others with larger or multiple pockets... Lower weight limit than others prohibited my bf from even being able to try it let alone buy it (I'm 5'4" 165#, he's 6'0" 210#) It was very easy to transport & assemble and will be great for backpacking too. Once in, I found the chair very comfortable with no places digging in anywhere. I was able to sit comfortably with my legs bent or stretched out. Overall, would definitely recommend, if you're within the weight restrictions. 👍 ... show more

  • Ultralight, kinda steady, but material is not strong
I bought this to use for 2 to 8 hours of sitting. The chair is, indeed, ultralight and packs down really small. The set up is easy. The canvas seat material construction -- particularly the rod pockets -- leaves a lot to be desired. One of the rod pockets tore on my second or third outing!

  • Great camp/backpacking chair
This chair is a great compromise between size, weight, weight rating, and price. I bought it to take backpacking but didn’t want to spend a ton. This chair fit the bill by hitting a happy medium on all my criteria. I find it comfortable but it is a little wobbly. Any lightweight backpacking chair won’t feel the sturdiest. I had a corner pocket fail recently and Trekology made good on their warranty. Sent me a new cover from their China factory. Even asked if I could wait before sending one from there. I will recommend these chairs to anyone and will probably buy another one. ... show more

  • Light, comfortable and durable chair
My friends laughed when I pulled this thing out. You sit very close to the ground but when they tried it they loved it. It’s very comfortable, it gives you a lot of back support and it’s small and light when folded. Perfect luxury item for the ultralight backpacker. It is quality made. Because you sit low to the ground and you’re leaning back in it, it’s best to have a stick/log/rock next to you to help you stand. Super comfortable. I haven’t written a review on Amazon in a while but I was very impressed with this chair! ... show more
