You can slow the descent of very heavy branches (or entire trees) with these things. Research online how to use it.

Solid construction powder coat starting to flake off. Having trouble running 5/8 bull rope through smaller rope worked like a charm. Small port a wrap is too small to be functional for anything I need to do so I have no opinion on that

Nobody should buy this. Very dangerous and I cannot believe that an item intended for such a use as lowering trees and limbs would be made do poorly. I used it one time. And that was the last time because the welds all broke and sent a 6 foot log flying at the crew. This product should be removed for safety reasons alone not to mention the poor quality of the materials it’s made from. If you are looking at lowering limbs weighing around 100 pound then you might be okay but regular tree work no chance.
