    • Don't freeze solid!!
I bought these to stack trays in my deep freezer before I load my freeze drier. I scramble eggs to fill the trays. IF you do the same, and freeze liquid, don't let your item freeze solid or you won't be able to remove the stackers to slide your trays in the freeze drier. These do not clip tight to the trays, they rest and can move easily when stacking the trays so be careful and slowly stack trays and make sure your top tray is setting on the stacker, as you stack the trays. As a side note and not having anything to do with the stackers, I noted the top tray freezes first, while the bottom 3 will be liquidy/slushy. These have a large side and a small side. The large side fits to the bottom tray, while the small side accepts the next higher tray to sit on. They serve a purpose, and work, just be slow and deliberate when stacking liquids. I place the trays in the freezer empty, place the stackers, fill the tray inside the freezer, stack, fill, etc. ... show more

I am not sure why everyone is complaining about these, they work just fine with our trays for the freeze dryer. My only complaint is not enough for 5 trays.

    • They Work...
The stackers work, but they are not nearly as stable and form fitting as others we have that actually "snap on" to the trays. When you are carrying full trays stability is important. As stated in the headline, they do work, but they are not my first choice when setting up trays for processing (I only use them when I'm out of the ones that snap on to the trays since we have 16 trays that rotate through). ... show more

    • Helps prevent extra trips to the freeze dryer
These work for the purpose they were made. My only complaint, is that you have to make extra sure you have them seated securely, or you'll get any trays above to collapse on the ones below. If you don't press down hard and make sure each one is locked on, they tend to ride up just far enough to be unstable. Pay close attention to how you press them on, and they will work just fine. ... show more
