  • Traxxas 3632A Anodized Aluminum Caster Blocks - Outstanding upgrade for Traxxas Bandit
These anodized aluminum caster blocks were a recent upgrade that our son tried after destroying three of the nylon-based OEM style caster blocks, and he really likes these much better in his Traxxas Bandit. If you like bashing then try this swap out -- plus they are an awesome blue color that goes well with the look of his Bandit now. These caster blocks are light but strong and they have held up where other ones have failed before. The availability of replacement parts for the Bandit, like these Traxxas upgraded blocks, greatly exceeded our expectations. Traxxas cars and parts have been, and continue to be, an outstanding learning experience for him and that has been a blast to watch evolve. Try these caster blocks - you will be happy with the performance and the look. Go for it and have fun! ... show more

  • Perfect fit always guaranteed with a factory part
Traxxas parts always fit perfectly because the come from the same factory. When an aftermarket company wants to make a part, they make a mold of the Traxxas part and try to get it as exact as possible. This rarely ever works 100%. RPM parts are usually too long my a millimeter, Integy parts need to be filed down in order to fit. The only parts that I haven't needed to modify were STRC and Hot Racing and those are just as expensive as the Traxxas parts. Bottom line: Traxxas parts are guaranteed to fit perfectly. I put these on my Bigfoot and the look perfect. They're also much stronger than the plastic parts. ... show more

  • A solid, great-looking and much-needed upgrade.
A solid and great-looking upgrade to replace a weak and easily broken stock plastic piece. Highly recommended which I have on both of my Slash 2wd trucks (standard chassis and the other one is LCG) and am getting a pair for my Rustler-all 3 are VXL. These also work great with the RPM a-arms which is another much-needed upgrade. To the low star review that complained these don't fit the nitro Rustler-the description you didn't read clearly says these are for the Electric models, you bought the wrong parts for your truck. ... show more

  • Fantastic Caster Blocks
I am pretty new to the RC hobby and I had just gotten my first truck, the Stampede VXL, and I was just learning to drive and smashed one of the caster blocks on like my second drive. Needless to say I went out found these aluminum caster blocks and have not had a problem since. They came with the suspension screws that you need to replace the previous caster blocks, which is a plus for someone like me because I bent the suspension screw that went through the top of the caster block when I wrecked the truck. Quality product and they look very cool. I would reccommend to anybody needing new caster blocks. ... show more

  • ... giving it a 4 star because the part is excellent, the caveat is two fold
I'm giving it a 4 star because the part is excellent, the caveat is two fold: One, if you are installing this on your Bandit, the lower receiver hole is not large enough for the stock pin. Two, this part comes with a new pin to connect to your 3636 steering blocks. They are different however. Instead of a pin with two E-Clips, it is now a pin with machine threading. I have attached a picture to show all of these issues. The top pin is the new pin for the 3636 steering block, it also threads from the bottom up so you will need to use thread locker. A small design flaw in my opinion, a top down approach would have been better. ... show more

  • so much better than the original plastic ones
Bought a RC car second hand and this is the first thing I replaced to get some added strength and get rid of the plastic ones that were on there. Easy to install and like the little touch of color.

  • Good upgrade - one of the few parts that is better in aluminum than plastic.
After breaking many of the plastic caster blocks and bending the pins, I upgraded to aluminum. This upgrade may cause other parts to break. I didn't think you would see these when driving but you actually do see them from time to time when turning. There are few parts I would recommend buying that are made of aluminum. This is definitely one of them. The Traxxas aluminum steering set if another. The bearing carriers could be aluminum but I have had good luck with RPM plastic bearing carriers. It seems that the parts that Traxxas makes in aluminum are the good upgrades. I would never put on an aluminum bumper for example. The flexible plastic bumpers are great. Since upgrading these caster blocks to aluminum, I haven't had to replace one or the pins. ... show more

  • Stronger caster blocks than OEM
These caster blocks are very rugged and strong and exceed the durability of the OEM plastic caster blocks Traxxas puts on their Ruster VXL.Everything fit exact and they also included new vertical Allen head replacements.I had someone run the front wheel of my rustler into a curb and it immediately bent the pins and cracked the camber block on the right side.On the Rustler its a good idea to get these aluminum caster blocks as well as the RPM front bumper to protect the front end and suspension from harm in a collision. ... show more
