Love, love, love this suitcase. It was perfect for our 10-day trip. Great design, stylish, holds a LOT of items, just enough pockets and packs, durable, and doesn’t get scratched like the hard-sided luggage. The reason I am not giving it 5 stars as TravelPro is known for its cheesy, easily breakable zipper pulls. I have a smaller TravelPro that I also loved but several of the zipper pulls broke off and/or the attachments broke. It seems to be a common problem with this luggage, reading reviews on various sites. I don’t understand why the company doesn’t use higher quality zipper parts for what would not seem to be a great cost to them, as it would make for a much happier customer. I will change the rating to 5 stars once I use the suitcase several more times, IF I still have intact zippers! ... show more

I don’t usually write reviews, but we were so happy with these on our recent trip to Japan that I just had to give this bag a shout out. We walked miles with these in dry conditions and through pouring rain. We walked on public sidewalks, across bumpy intersections and over high curbs, up and down subway stairs (nice and light with well-placed handholds), on escalators, elevators, amongst busy public areas. We also checked them through 4 different international airports and flew 15k+ miles. All on their first use! Have to say, they still look great with no issues so far. These are well constructed with thoughtfully designed. They’re just no fuss and practical which is most important to us. Definitely preferable over hard sided (which do crack over time and don’t expand). Also love the TSA lock/combo, and the rolling option to give our arms a rest (and the adjustable height of the handle). Just a great bag and can’t reco these enough. ... show more

This suitcase saved the day! We had two weddings to attend during a long multi-city trip. One was a formal event. The suitcase's garment holder side was exactly the right thing to keep our clothes in good shape on the long trip. Wrinkles fell out just fine so we didn't need to iron anything.

The airline must have dropped my Vitorinox bag from a 6-story high building. It ripped the sturdy fabric so extensively and could not be repaired so I did extensive research and this is my replacement. Gets high marks from several trusted reviewers not being paid by the company and not super high priced. I have flown way over a million miles with that Victorinox or with Hartman or Samsonite and I think this could be the best of them all. Why did I buy it? Very strong fabric that looks cool, 8 wheels for steadiness, ergonomic handle that nicely fits to your hand and a low center of gravity so the bag won't tip over easily like some. Rubber skids on several sides to support it when it is flat for unloading clothes. I am heading out for two months to four countries. I am glad I will have this bag with me. ... show more

This is the second Travelpro Platinum Elite 25" I have purchased in the last year. I originally researched for a Christmas gift for my college age son. I wanted to get him something that would take him through the college years and beyond. He loves his. I realized, I really needed to upgrade my luggage from 10 years ago and bought the same model in red. It has now flown both domestic and international with no issues. It moves so smoothly that if you are on a flat hard surface, it will just glide along with almost no help from your hand. I have a disabled daughter who had no issues moving this through the airport at all. The amount of space, the suit carrier and small zipped spots are easy to use and with the expander, there is plenty of room for a multiple week trip. I lent mine to a family member recently (she had an unwieldy hard sided heavy thing that was bigger than her). She was amazed that it moved so well, packed with extra room leftover and had an adjustable handle. She is currently looking at getting one of these as well now. With the warranty and quality that I can see after the airlines have beaten on this bag, it was definitely worth every cent, I am looking forward to many more trips with this bag! This carry on exceeded my expectations. It’s constructed with high quality, heavy duty materials and makes air travel a breeze. Purchased this for a recent stip. After I got it was concerned by reviews that said it was too large to pass carry-on screening device. Packed it anyway. When I got to the airport I tried it at JetBlue and it fit fine! Everything else very good about this bag. I especially like how easily it rolls, smooth zipper action, lightweight, waterproof pockets, many pockets, handle on bottom for easy lifting. I upgraded to this bag after reading some trusted online testing sites, and am hoping that it will last longer than other, cheaper bags I have owned, years longer. So far, so good. The quality feels nice and the bag has good quality zippers and pulls. It is nicely designed. I like the color. It moves nicely through the airports and had good handles to lift. It is a bigger than I need and when full it is over the 50lb weight limit of airlines. However I like having a bit extra space since I live out of my bag when traveling. Plus I usually travel by car or train once I fly to where I am going, if and when I move. Often we are at a place for a week or more. So, it is nice to have only one bag with enough space, even if it is larger, and then adjusting the weight for the flight home. ... show more
