Description

Get a new perspective on nature and the Universe with the ideal day-to-night telescope, Travel Scope 60. The Travel Scope 60 is a refractor telescope perfect for terrestrial and celestial viewing on the go. The Travel Scope can view the planets, moon, star clusters and brighter deep sky objects like the Orion Nebula and Andromeda Galaxy at night and with the erect image star diagonal makes the optical tube ideal for using as a spotting scope during the day. Setting up the telescope is a breeze and will have you observing in no time. Even on your first time out, you can assemble the telescope and its accessories in just a few minutes. The adjustable tripod legs allow you to customize the telescope’s height or place it on raised surfaces like a picnic table. The total telescope kit weighs in at just 3.3 pounds—perfect for impromptu observing sessions or transporting wherever life’s adventures take you. Manual Alt-Azimuth telescope Navigate the sky with a pan handle Alt- Az control with clutch for smooth and accurate pointing. Move the clutch in an up/down, left/right fashion to track your object in the eyepiece. Accessories Included                                                                                                 The Travel Scope 60 comes with two eyepieces (20mm and 8mm), a 45° erect image diagonal, a 3x Barlow lens, a 5x20 finderscope, a Moon filter, and a travel backpack. The two eyepieces offer different magnifications to view your intended object. The erect image diagonal allows for right-side-up viewing ideal for terrestrial subjects but can also be used for celestial objects. The 5x20 finderscope will help you quickly center an object in your eyepiece for easier observing. Connect the 3x Barlow lens to your eyepieces to boost your magnification by a factor of three. Paired with the included eyepieces, the Barlow delivers 54x and 135x magnification for up-close views. Moon Filter– Enjoy the details of the Moon without the brightness. It only takes a second or two to transform your regular eyepiece into one suited for lunar observations—simply thread this filter onto the bottom of your eyepieces. The Moon Filter is also helpful when observing Venus or bright terrestrial scenes to reduce glare. Travel Backpack –A custom backpack comes with your telescope, giving you a safe place to store your optical tube, tripod, eyepieces and accessories comfortably. This backpack also makes traveling with your telescope is a breeze. All the components fit inside of the backpack with room for you to add other accessories later. Starry Night Software Download Celestron’s Starry Night Software and learn about the night sky, celestial objects, and how to plan your next observing session. Celestron Starry Night Software is the premier astronomy software package on the market, providing resources and knowledge to view our solar system and beyond.

  • OK for a beginner scope for kids or teens.
Not the greatest, but it will kinda work.

  • Nice for beginners
I just got into star gazing as a hobby and I really enjoy this telescope. It was easy to assemble and very portable with the backpack included. The one thing I will say is the quality is pretty good but not the best. It is on the cheaper end so you truly get what you pay for. I would look else where if you want a more professional, quality telescope. Still very cool to go out and take a look though. ... show more

  • Forget looking at planets
This scope fine for looking the the moon, or wildlife, but the optics are not clear enough for much more.

  • Defectuoso
The media could not be loaded. El tornillo que va del trípode al tubo del telescopio no queda ajustado y obviamente el telescopio se mueve.
