  • Not going to stick with this one
Size: 2x393.84 Inch (Pack of 1)
I purchased this in an effort to find a less expensive alternative for the Smith & Nephew OpSite that I normally purchase (... and the OpSite was a less expensive alternative for Tegaderm, but that’s another story.) While this is a clear adhesive film like OS or TD, it has a few drawbacks that are noteworthy. First, the paper that you peel off the back prior to application is split for ease (a good thing), but it’s split such that only 1/4” strip comes off (a bad thing.) The small amount of film exposed doesn’t have enough strength to remain adhered to the skin when you attempt to remove the rest of the backing. (Would it have enough adhesive to remain in place for several days?). If you CAN manage to completely remove the backing, what is left to apply to the skin comes with a a wrinkled, uneven edge, not the smooth surface these are known for. Second, the film itself is thinner than OS or TD and doesn’t seem like it would withstand abrasion (think showering with a net scrubbie); I can’t say that with absolute certainty, as I returned it due to its last flaw. The surface of the film is slightly tacky ... not enough to have something adhere to the nonadhesive side, but enough that clothing doesn’t glide over it, and if it possibly does glide over I imagine it would begin to pull the film off. As I wear this under my pants, this final point is important to me. If any of these things are important to you, I suggest you stick with the other product(s). ... show more

  • Best fresh tattoo care ever
Size: 8x196.92 Inch (Pack of 1)
I used this to cover a huge fresh tattoo across my chest as well as one on my arm. The outline was such a pain, I couldn't take off work for it to heal, but at work my shirt was constantly rubbing across the healing tattoo, so when I went into have color and shade done, I had my artist apply this over it. Holy wow...if I had known sooner! It was so much more tolerable! The tattoo healed much quicker and I had no reaction from the adhesive. Most medical tapes leave my skin red and welted up, this had 0 reaction I will swear by this from now on, every tattoo from now on will be covered by it. It's magical. Some mention the tattoo coming off with the film, there is a print of the tattoo left on the film however it's not coming off, your skin can only hold so much ink, it's normal for some to seep out, you notice it more because of the film giving it no where to go. Fine lines usually rewire a touch-up which most tattoo artists do for free. It's very normal to form a pocket of fluid between your skin and the film. Do NOT pop it. If you do so you could end up with a nasty infection. This fluid would, if exposed to air turn into a scab. Scabs on tattoos are not a good thing. And letting bacteria under the film into a warm moist environment is an even worse thing. Fallow the direction of your tattoo artist as to when you should remove it. What I do- After my tattoo, I have my artist disinfect my skin and apply the film. It stays on for 2 full days unless a large pocket of fluid builds up( then I chance it after 1 day). To change- was hands in antibacterial soap for 3 full minutes paying attention to nail bed. With warm water running over the film I use antibacterial soap to wash the entire outside of the film covered tattoo and surrounding skin. Working slowly I gently work at the edges of the film and gently peel it off constantly adding more soap. Wash the tattoo without scrubbing it for a minimum of 3 min.. most antibacterial soaps need 3 minutes to kill bacteria so the time is important! Once clean the skin must air dry. Don't touch it to anything or you'll need to start over! Apply a precut sheet of film to tattoo and leave for another 2 days. After that mine are healed enough to use a moisturizer or lotion without another sheet of film. Hope this how-to is helpful and your tattoo turns out as awesome as you are. =} ... show more

  • Just like Tegaderm but AFFORDABLE!!
Size: 6x393.8 Inch (Pack of 1)
I am so glad that I found this product and ordered it!! This product performs just like Nexcare Tegaderm which costs around $8 for a package that contains 8 bandages that are 2.36 in x 2.76 in, so that averages out to $0.15 or 15 cents per square inch. This transparent stretch adhesive is $17.99 for a roll that's 6 in x 395 in, which averages out to $0.003 or one third of a penny per square inch!! Tegaderm is 450% more expensive. Not only is it an incredible value, it can also be cut to size; Tegaderm is impossible to cut to size without damaging either the portion that you need to use immediately, or the remainder. There's no better bandage for fingers when you accidently cut yourself or your skin cracks from repeated handwashing. This product provides the performance of Tegaderm at a very affordable price, and I HIGHLY recommend it!! ... show more

  • Geat product, if you're prepared
Size: 8x196.92 Inch (Pack of 1)
This is more of a preperation warning than a review. Got a new tattoo of my late father's handprint as his "arm is always around me", so it's not in an easy location to tend to meself. Artist sent me home with 2 sheets of Saniderm. 1st sheet worked well, 2nd sheet the wife accidentally messed up, but it lasted a day. So we opened this that I'd already ordered just in case. I needed a product that was big enough in width to cover a hand. Lots of good reviews so I crossed my fingers. Product works great. It was actually more comfortable than the Saniderm. I played 2 hockey games wearing it, went fishing all day, and did some construction work while wearing the sheet for 5 days. Today, about an hour ago my wife peeled it off for me while I was in the shower. Washed it good with Dial soap and was happy. I dried off and I was no longer happy. STICKY RESIDUE!!!! The entire area was a square of glue. Not a little, I mean it could hold weight if something was pressed against it. After reading the internet though I had my wife rub the area really good with coconut oil we had, and I jumped back in the shower with a bottle of Olive Oil. Washed with Dial, rubbed good with Olive Oil. I did this process about 3 times. The residue is now gone. So long story short, the stuff works great on a tattoo. I would use it again. BUT, have some olive oil or coconut oil at the ready the day you remove it. If you dont, my guess is you'll be very very sorry. Mind you, if it was a smaller tattoo or a different location, it might not be as bad. But I cant even imagine if I'd put a shirt on. Never even tried. Great product, if you're prepared. ... show more
