This was bought for our 3 year old. This is a little larger transformer, but not too big. It transforms in only a few movements. One of the movements was tricky at first because it felt difficult to "click" into position, so we were afraid we were breaking it. 6 year old grandson liked it. Transforming the first time was difficult but the more you change it should become easier. Instructions on box are not easy to follow.
