This backpack material is quite thin. I had to extend the straps almost all the way before I could put it on. I doubt that it would hold more than about 30 lb without ripping. However - what I bought this for was to put a spare set of clothing and toiletries in it, and stash it behind the seat of my pickup. That way if, for some reason, my one day trip turned into a two day trip, and I had to stop at a motel, or I got caught in the rain and was soaked, I had clean dry clothes to change into and the ability to brush my teeth. This will allow me to keep all of that together, and since I would be carrying less than 10 lb, and carrying it no farther than the parking lot to the room, this will work fine. ... show more

People expect way too much these days. It's a backpack. For 8 dollars. It's not 1947, cheap things cost paper money now. Do you really expect this to stay in perfect condition for years?! Google this product and you will see that these are only sold individually on obscure websites, or they're sold in bulk for like 2 bucks. You get what you pay for, and getting mad because a cheap backpack is made cheaply is completely insane. Yes, it's sewn wrong. You can clearly see that in the item photos. I just used my sewing machine to reinforce the seams. If I paid $20+ for this I would give it 2 stars, but again, it's EIGHT DOLLARS. The only reason I took a star off is because it smells horrible. Bought this to hang on the back of a wheelchair it will do its job. Don't advise this for everyday child use it's not very durable and looks like it would not last very long. But you get what you pay for.. It was on sale that's the only reason why I'm not returning it.

Our nonprofit group ordered 15 to give away. We were pleased with cost, size, weight, but in putting items into them we found that one of the 15 had not been sewn well and had a gaping seam. We had to sew it up before we could give it away.

This is a great bag for multi-purpose activities. This is nice for a quick change of clothes, a gym bag, school bag or taking a quick hike. I find its really strong and durable. I think it can hold up in bad weather as well but haven't tried it yet. I love the bag and use it everyday
