Despite the description, this is not a "Bolt On" solution for adding D-Rings to your bucket. While yes, it does use bolts, it still requires drilling through your bucket. Have fun with that if you have a high quality bucket. You'll need to make 4 large holes to feed the bolts through. I knocked off a star because it's not a bolt-on solution. Once installed, they are fine and work as described. It's never great when you have to drill through your bucket though, but if you need D-rings and would use them often, this would be a good solution. If you only occasionally need them and aren't doing anything major, a true bolt-on solution is probably a better bet.

These are solid bucket hooks for tractors, skid steers, or other equipment. With these on the top of the bucket, loads can easily be secured with chain, rope, or straps. Thick powder coat finish looks good and feels reasonably durable. Will probably need some touch up with at least clear coat over time to keep it from rusting. Hardware included for mounting, and even some rubber washers and gaskets for protecting the finish and reducing noise. Installation is straightforward, just mark where you want them and drill 2 holes per hook for the bolts. With the back plates installed, these are super strong. These are not going anywhere, even with a lot of weight on them. Good value for the money, these are well worth it if you are looking for a way to secure loads or add some anchor points to a bucket.

This is best suited for light to moderate tractor work—it functions, but the finish quality does not support the heavy-duty ratings. The combo design is the strong point. Having both a grab hook and a 5/8” shackle mount in one setup is practical, and the included backing plates are the correct way to distribute load across a bucket. Installation hardware is included and usable. The problem is execution. The bolt holes are rough with visible burrs and inconsistent edges. More importantly, the coating is already chipped and thin around those holes. That’s not cosmetic—those are high-stress areas and the first place corrosion will start. Over time, that leads to rust, reduced clamping force, and movement. The bolts and nuts also show early coating wear out of the box, which suggests they won’t hold up well long-term in outdoor use. In real-world use, this is fine for dragging logs, moving brush, and general farm tasks. I would not trust it near its rated limits or for high-load recovery where shock forces are involved. If you’re willing to deburr the holes and touch up the coating, it becomes a decent mid-duty setup. As delivered, it falls short of true heavy-duty expectations. Works for everyday use, but finishing quality keeps it out of the heavy-duty category.

I've got a couple of Kubota tractors with loaders. These AMBULL Grab Hooks look like OEM additions to the buckets:). The combination of borth D-Rings and chain/strap hooks just adds a whole lot of versatile utility to the front end of my rigs. To put simply, they're just plain darned HANDY for moving, picking up, and/or carrying around whatever you have that needs moving:) The price is great, the construction and design is great, I guess pretty much about them is GREAT. I give them 5 Stars for design, construction, and metallurgy. An Excellent value all around. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I really appreciate these bolt-on kits to add attachment points for tractor buckets. In the past the only solution was having to weld a hook onto the bucket and this makes things far faster, easier, and more convenient. I'm actually using these to add a hook to the bucket of my mini excavator that can be removed if needed and allows me to lift items with a sling or chain. All of the attachment hardware have nylon locking nuts to keep them in place under use which is nice. I also appreciate the pins to retain the nut on the d-rings.

This is a pretty good product from ambull and a great way to add hooks to the bucket for a number of things but I mainly use them for securing loads that I am moving about and the books work perfect for it. I am using 4 hooks and they are about as secure as I can make things. I don't have to worry about large logs or supervised hay bales falling over again. The hooks are easy to mount and install and are essentially just bolted on. There is a bit of simple modification with the hole drilling but overall it's worth it. Just make sure to paint over those holes to prevent future rust. For the price this is a reasonable way to secure loads and it's efficient and easy to do. I'm hoping the finish on the hooks and the gaskets will print any rust in the future but we will see. Until We Meet Again -Off The Grid Ken
