  • Nice Camera Bright and Clear
Style: 2K w/Color Night Vision
Real nice Camera and works good. Price is good and takes a little patience to set it up and get it dialed in, so take it into consideration. The Color and Pictures are Perfect in my opinion. Not like the ones you see from others. Night shots are Great.. Remember this is a $50 camera with lots of Options and not a $500 commercial one..I like all it features and they do work great for me as a Homeowner... ... show more

  • Hard to beat for price.
Style: 2K w/Color Night Vision
There’s 1 downside to WiFi cameras. Your internet speed has to include enough upload gbps per camera for optimal results. Example 10 gbps is enough for 3-4 cameras unless you’re uploading something at the same time. Yes you can run 8-10 cameras but you’ll see delays, buffering and be disappointed in speeds. Proper upload speeds is vital so you can run your cameras and other uploading data (basically sending, example : to cloud, to another devices to private storage). If you use cameras for live viewing and no saving video upload speeds aren’t important. That said, these Tapo ptz cameras work good, they move properly, app is intuitive, storage is cheap $10 for 10 cameras for 30 days, they’re a TP-Link products so it’s amazing like everything they make. I see TP-link to electronics as I do 3m to adhesives. Simply works. These cameras are 2k so zooming is ok but they don’t actually zoom it’s an in picture zoom. The cord is 2 piece so you can put attached side through a wall and connect adapter side in a plug inside but not have to make a huge hole. 3/8” hole is all you need. Entire unit is compact and has 4 holes in mounting plate to easily with a template to mark for plastic anchors or pre-drill hard surfaces. TP-link start up is by far the easiest I’ve seen and I’m a fan. 1 caveat I have is, when volume is on there’s no was to avoid hearing the motor turn the camera. These are NOT for high security areas or places subject to damage, mounting plate and body are plastic but you should know that when purchasing anyway. I would not hesitate at all to buy TP-link cameras or recommend to them to my own family and friends. ... show more

  • High quality camera at a fraction of the price!
Style: 2K w/Color Night Vision
This camera did not disappoint in the usual Tapo high quality cameras. The picture quality is fantastic! It has a very smooth and silent pan and tilt that is barely heard and hardly seen. This is such high quality at a low price that we need to support this company to continue in this tradition of high quality without making it unaffordable. Hopefully we can see a solar variant of this camera soon. ... show more

  • Easy to Install, Great Quality, Needs to be kept close to Internet box
Style: 2K w/Color Night Vision
This is great, we upgraded from another camera and so far the quality has been great with this camera. It catches everything with motion detection, even the rain during a storm. Bought on sale, for the price the camera is perfect considering it's features such as setting specific locations that you may want to look at with the press of a button. It also has a patrol mode which follows movement it sees. At night the quality of the picture is just as good as during the day, nearly making out facial features from across the street. Our only gripe is that it sometimes has a hard time connecting to the Internet after an outage and doesn't like connecting to Internet extension box, has to be manually connected instead of automatically. There's almost no delay in checking the camera using Cellular Data if you are away from the house. There's also a privacy mode if you are planning a surprise that you don't want anyone else with access to see. If your on the fence about upgrading or buying one of these in general it's my opinion that this is a decent investment for the price. There are more expensive cameras that do way less with worse quality. We have the white camera, not sure if it comes in any other color honestly. ... show more

  • Finally got some that work
Style: 2K QHD w/Starlight Night Vision
This was my 3rd set of security cams I bought. The 1st ones would not connect to my wifi, i got 1 set up on the second batch and the others would not even power up. I bought 3 of these and 1 of their indoor cams. All 4 were super easy to set up and all 4 work perfectly. I'm 72 years old and i got these completely set up to my phone in 2 minutes a piece. Just plug it in, wait for the app to find it, put in your wifi password & put sd card in and go mount it. The picture quality is crystal clear day and night. These are the ones to buy hands down. I here they have even better ones coming out this year so keep an eye out. ... show more

  • My 2 cent's worth -
Style: 1080P
I have 4 Tapo camera's without the pan/tilt/zoom and they are all great camera's for the money. I wanted to get a full motion camera for the front of my house so I decided to get the Tapo C500. It was easy to setup and everything works great except the picture. It's incredibly cloudy and blurred. I thought there was a protective over the lens, but that was not the case. I was in contact with Tapo customer service and tried all sorts of their ideas. Nothing worked. They said they would replace it, but boy oh boy - talk about a long drawn out process and after shipping costs it just wasn't worth my time. I'm out 34 bucks, but heck - I got a blurry picture camera that although it works, it's a dud! Hope you have better luck than I did. ... show more

  • Really capable camera
Style: 2K QHD w/Starlight Night Vision
I made the mistake earlier of buying a pair of some super cheap no-name $20 cameras earlier. Nope. Returned them and went back to my old favorite company, TP-Link for some cameras. Since I use TP-Link smart switches, ethernet switches, and KASA cams, I was pretty sure these would integrate no problem. Yep! completely satisfied. I especially wanted this model because it had an ethernet connection. Waaaay faster, and totally secure. And BTW, forget about ever getting a non-steerable camera again! once you have 360 degrees, you can never go back. ... show more
