  • Fun foam blaster for the big kids.
Very tactical feeling foam blaster. The overall construction is very good and has a lot of neat parts that can attach to it. The flashlight and red dot sight are nice and add to the fun of this blaster. The magazines are large allowing a good amount of ammo to be loaded. Overall power of this is quite high. It does sting a bit to get hit at close range. Recommended to wear eye protection if using in a nerf war. For just target shooting it is very fun and relatively accurate. Some shots are right on target other vary a bit. The only downside to this is that to prime the gun for the next shot you pull back on the slide. This can be tough for smaller kids as it is a strong spring. It would have been cool to have the slide push back during shooting to simulate the full gun action that this is going for but I could see how that would be difficult with something like this. Overall it is still fun and has been a blast to play with. ... show more

  • Cool once you finally figure it out... but prepare for a few "what the heck?!" moments
Alright, let me start by saying this thing is actually really cool once you figure it out — but getting to that point felt like assembling IKEA furniture with instructions written in invisible ink. Right out of the box, I was greeted by several baggies full of screws and mystery parts, plus a tiny tube of grease. Grease for what, exactly? Who knows. The included "instructions" barely scratch the surface, and it took me a good 30+ minutes of staring at the tiny text to even realize that you're supposed to REMOVE the grey top rail that's pre-installed and replace it with the white ribbed looking one using the screws provided already installed. (Spoiler alert: the guy in the Amazon listing video does NOT mention this step. He just keeps saying how it “feels good in the hand” — which, fair, it does — but come on dude, throw us a bone.) Anyway, my husband jumped the gun (pun 100% intended) and loaded one of the clips with 12 darts (they come in packs of 12, so reasonable assumption, esp since the clip was able to hold all 12), completely missing the faint little “8” molded onto the clip. Cue: instant jam. And guess what? The instructions offer zero advice on how to clear a jam. So that was fun. 😑 Once we got the jammed darts out (they were folded like sad little foam tacos), and I finally got everything assembled — laser sight, flashlight, and all — the thing started to shine. It’s got good weight to it, shoots with decent power, and the flashlight is legit bright. The red dot sight isn’t a projecting laser, just a glowing LED, but it still looks cool, especially in the dark. That said, it’s still possible to accidentally cock it twice and jam it all over again. Ask me how I know. (Actually, don’t.) So yeah — once you puzzle it all together like a soft foam version of “Escape Room: Nerf Edition,” it’s a ton of fun. But man, they really need to redo that instruction sheet and that Amazon video. Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4/5) Would I recommend it? Yes, if you're patient and like a little DIY challenge with your foam blaster fun. Just keep the manual, a magnifying glass, and maybe a cup of coffee (or whiskey) handy. ... show more

  • Such an awesome toy!
This toy gun is so cool! It is the most realist toy gun I have ever seen. The bullets are foam, but basically everything else is the same as a real gun. The foam bullets are loaded into clips that slide into the gun. You have to cock it (each shot) but it pulls back and loads like a real gun. It has sights and attachments, the flashlight is really cool. It shoots pretty far, 20'-25' but not very accurate at far distances. It also comes with extra foam bullets and an extra clip. They really did a great job with mimicking looks and functions of a real gun. ... show more

  • Frustrating and unreliable (jams frequently and is ridiculously inaccurate)
I’ve amassed quite the collection of foam blasters, and while most of them are clearly colorful plastic toys that could never be mistaken for a firearm, this Kokebuka blaster is a different story. From any distance, it could easily be mistaken for a ghost gun. It’s huge—almost the size of a Desert Eagle .50 caliber pistol! I wouldn’t want this sitting on my passenger seat if I got pulled over by the police; talk about a “unfriendly” encounter! Now, I have to disagree with the seller’s claim that this blaster is appropriate for 8-year-olds. I don’t have an 8-year-old handy to test this, but the blaster is simply too large for small hands. Just check out my photo of me holding it! I’m 6’4” with proportionately large hands, and this pistol barely fits. Even if a child managed a one-handed grip, there’s no way an 8-year-old’s trigger finger could reach the trigger. Another concerning feature for kids is the ammunition. Sure, the darts are foam, but the tips are hard plastic and they fly FAST! This blaster definitely lives up to the seller’s claim of a 50-yard range. If fired from close range I wouldn’t be surprised if these little foam/plastic bullets raised a welt on bare skin, and I’m pretty sure they’d do a number on an open eyeball. Not exactly the kind of ‘fun’ I’d want for a child! For an adolescent or adult, this blaster could be fun—if it didn’t jam so frequently. Every fresh magazine seems destined to jam at least once in eight rounds. It gets old fast having to eject and reinsert the magazine just to cock the blaster. And let’s talk about accuracy: it’s so unreliable that even at ten feet, the darts seem to have a mind of their own, landing wherever they please—usually not very near the bullseye. The flashlight and red-dot scope fit as advertised, but let’s be honest: they’re clearly plastic toys. The light is dim, and the red-dot cannot be zeroed because, well, the blaster itself is inherently inaccurate. So, all in all, I’m unhappy with this blaster and plan to give it away to an adult. It’s too frustrating and inaccurate to be fun, but hey, maybe one of my buddies will enjoy wearing it with their Mr. Police Officer Halloween costume! ... show more
