Very convenient to have on hand, and takes up very little space. I feel like it is overpriced, as are the other tongue weight scales for what they are and how much they were just 2 years ago…. But that’s the economy we are in, unfortunately. The product does what it’s supposed to do, and it’s great having a quick and easy way to weigh the tongue. I need to visit the CAT scales a few more times to determine how accurate this scale is, and will update review if anything crazy happens. As for people saying it is unsafe… I mean… I can only see it being unsafe if you have your tongue jack on one of those pedestals that some people use. I took mine off the pedestal and just had the tongue jack touching the ground, that way it can’t slip off the pedestal and crash down if the tongue weight scale tips over to the side. Travel trailer tongue weighed in right at 600#s. Knowing how much I weighed I sat on the tongue and it adjusted the weight correctly. So I believe it to be true. Very eye-opening and we had to rearrange the contents of the travel trailer.

    • Easy to use
I compared it to two other tongue scales. The others weighed different weights. This one showed 900lbs the others were 975lbs and 1025 lbs. on the same trailer. So, I don't know which is right. But I do have a reference point. This one is at least within 75-125 lbs. on the low side.

It is ok. Problem is the reading is different every time I put a trailer tongue in it. Even same one 5 min apart. Seems like a good idea but ……. If it is 50 lbs or more off each time not great .

Without a reliable way of testing it's accuracy it's hard to know for sure. Bottom line, it feels high quality and did resolve a nerve wracking trailer sway issue. Using it to load until indicating that I was in that 10-15% (of total weight) tongue weight range worked perfectly.
