This 100% cotton terry cloth robe is highly absorbent of moisture. I strongly enjoy the weight of the fabric. It has a nice thickness to it. It’s very warm to wear on cold nights. I greatly appreciate the length of it also. It couldn’t be as absorbent had its length reached only to my knees. It also couldn’t be very warm to wear on cold nights at such a length. It’s very wearable. It’s completely durable because it’s sturdily seamed. According to my internet research, to ensure this robe remains durable, it’s best to launder this only once a month. Such advice makes sense, since a bath robe is worn only in doors and isn’t worn all day long. It has deep pockets. Provided you machine wash this robe in cold water as directed, it will not shrink. This robe didn’t shrink when I machine washed it for the first time. I appreciate the feminine look of the shawl collar of this robe. An easy five stars from me for quality (Turkish cotton), comfort (soft and snugly), and ease of care (machine wash warm; tumble dry low). I almost purchased another robe of this type, which was more than twice the price, but a bit more searching turned up this one -- thankfully. I ordered the L/XL (I'm 5'6" and weigh 165) because I want the length to keep my legs warm. Admittedly the robe is too large through the shoulders and the arm length is too long, but it definitely isn't a deal breaker for me: I simply turn up the sleeves a time or two and the over-sized shoulders is not an issue for a bathrobe. I actually like the comfy feel; it's like being wrapped in a soft blanket. Is this the thick, plush TOP quality Turkish cotton? Not at this price, dear readers, but you can't read through it either. It's a good quality, sensible robe that will more than meet your needs: You can certainly step out of the shower, put it on, and be toasty warm as you dry off. A gorgeous soft HEAVY robe! I’d love it in the coldest winter but right now it’s too too HOT and I need a light weight robe for now! Need to return as soon as possible but it’s brand new. Never worn & so loveable!!!!

I want to say I don't do social media marketing/lying and I wasn't compensated in any way for this review. I ordered Towel Selections, shawl collar 100% Turkish cotton robe in size xl/xxl. I washed it in hot in an older GE washing machine that is not gentle on clothes. The color, gray(it may be the charcoal, forgot already). It arrived with the color as expected and after washing was true to the original color. When the robe arrived it was pakaged nicely. I got it in a few days after placing the order. It is exactly the weight it said it would be. Any thinner, it would be too thin, even for me in San Diego. Any thicker and it would not drape nicely. It drapes very nicely but is thick enough to dry me off completely and cover my machine gun jublies(nipples, if I can say that here?). The robe dries quickly and is very very soft. After washing it in hot, no fabric softener(makes cotton less absorbant) dried on high, I inspected all of the seams, there were no holes or seams out. It did fill the lint trap half way through but we changed it and it finished drying normally. As you can see in the pictures there are very fine threads coming off of the inside seams. They are few and soft so this is a non-issue for me. If you live in a snowy climate, this is not the robe for you. If you live in a sometimes chilly, sometimes mild, sometimes warmish(southern California) climate, this robe is the perfect weight. I combed through probably every robe on Amazon over the course of a month before purchasing this robe. I'm glad I did. It's perfect. I would and still may buy a few more for my sons and my mom. Get this robe. It's the perfect robe. Update: Of note; I did have to wash it inside out a couple of times to get the residual lint off. Even then, there was barely any. Still holding up perfectly. It is heavy, given the largest size that I ordered. If you order the largest like we did, you probably won't want to hang it on the back of your bathroom door. I finally replaced my old terry cloth robe. This one is exactly what I wanted and hoped it would be. Thick, breathable,100 percent cotton, suitable for all year wear, calf length and super cozy. I was a little hesitant about the price but this robe is worth it! I love the butter yellow color too 💛

*UPDATE* Okay well I still mostly love this robe, but this seam came completely undone on the second wash. So, one star removed. Being a bit "top-heavy", I often have trouble with robes not being quite enough to fully wrap around, so I ordered the L/XL. It's PLENTY. I could probably go a size down but I won't bother to exchange it. It's nice to have the extra room, and I would roll the sleeves up anyway. Just out of the package, I'm very happy with the feel and weight of the fabric. And the color is lovely. It seems to be well made, but of course I haven't washed it yet.
