It is confusing how it should attach to the saddle and came with no instructions! I would give it 5 stars otherwise. Horseback riding can be very dangerous and assuring that this saddle is attached properly and as designed is pivotal to safety!!

Loved the idea of this, and for the most part it worked. One stirrup fell off the first ride and I had to tie it back up with a knot to finish the ride. We just walk, so it felt pretty comfy. i am sure this saddle is durable, and comfortable! i wouldn't know because i didn't even take it out of the package. Sadly I waited to do my research after I bought it, and it shows that riding with a ride behind saddle or riding double with a saddle in general, is not good for you horse, and if rode over extended periods of time, it can cause damage. ... show more

Works pretty well, but i would have liked it to be held on a little better. Anything more than walking with the horse and the back seat is flopping about. It could also use some safety belts of some kind as the handle for the child to hold onto is not all that sturdy.
