I gave this set as a gift to my 8 yr old grandson & he LOVES it. It's like putting together giant K'NEX. Comes w/poles, sandbags, velcro canvas blankets & lots of connector joints. Kinda tricky to assemble (for me) but lots of fun. With the gift I included some large clamps & put it all in a storage bin. It made a wonderful gift that sparks imagination & fun. Worth the price. Seems durable.

This Texas heat is no joke and honestly, I need a break from it. I wanted to continue spending quality time with my kids so I thought blanket forts were the perfect core memory to create, little did I know that I needed Tote a Fort Original XL Blanket Fort Building Kit. After many attempts, multiple days and angrily crumpled plush blankies, I had had enough. I quickly searched for fort building kits and for this one. I immediately knew this creation had the durability to last days-when done well. It has been such a joy creating blanket forts with my kids, nothing will beat having a pb&j under the bright colors of the Tote a Fort and watching Descendants: Red for the 100th time this week.

Pros: This is a really fun set, everything stores together in a bag, and its washable. My 5 and 6 year old granddaughters absolutely love it (so does the cat). When we put it up, they want it to stay up, and they want to sleep, eat and live in it! It's lightweight, and has Velcro connections on the edges and corners of each sheet. There are also button holes along all the edges for tethering. Cons: The set is light, because the sheets are constructed of nylon. Nylon is great for inside and outside, and it cleans up easy. The problem with nylon is that it's slippery, and slides off of things.. There's no way a 5 or 6 year old could set up a tent/Fort on their own. It takes a lot of maneuvering the nylon sheets to get the Velcro fasteners to match up. You can't throw them over something then fasten them down because they slide off of EVERYTHING. You have to start out by fastening so that one spot is secure, then work your way around the outside, and try to find things to Velcro the ties to.If If you think putting the fort up sound like a big (and this set is huge) hassle....that's exactly what it is. I ended up buying some big colorful plastic clamps, and they do help a bit, but don't solve the issue. Even though putting it up is difficult and time consuming, my granddaughters get so much enjoyment from playing beneath it, that I would buy it again. If it were easier to put together and up, it would be a 5 star review. 😉 Please create an indoor version with gauze or some other kind of lightweight cottonish fabric so the sheets can be tossed over something and it would stay put while you secure it. 😀 😃 Just a suggestion on my part.

I bought this for the kids to play at home. We were all looking forward to it, and quikly assembled a nice, colorful, and spacious fort to watch movies in. The only downfall was the velcro straps coming off easily upon putting it together, the 4 weighted sacks were not enough, you still need plenty of weighted objects to hold it up, and overall it doesn't feel 100% polyester, its light but may tear easily if used a lot. Nonetheless, the kids had fun putting their fort together, and it was an enjoyable activity, and I'm sure we'll put it to good use.

Tired of kids stealing blankets for forts? And they end up being too heavy anyway. I wish I found these years ago! They are so lightweight and great material. They can be weighed down with the beanbags or velcroed to something. The kids have been playing in their fort for hours! Win win.

I was so excited to use this for my kids. The Velcro part is not strong enough so the pieces come apart so easily. It needs to have some type of button or tie to hold them together and this product would be awesome

I purchased the XL fort for my 3 youngest children for Christmas. They love it and I love that they aren’t pulling every blanket in the house downstairs to build a fort. So much fun, safe and versatile.
