Had no problems with fitting, cracking or any sharp areas. You could probably make it yourself, but honestly, it wouldn't be as fun, because this has a clear section they can see. Ok my husband said what's that??? My 2 great old immediately got his cars and started putting them down the tube. I said it's a plastic tube that has rave reviews and people said to just get it and it'll be a great $20 spent (on sale). Well it is! Things were going great until he wanted to defy gravity and couldn't make them go up and had a big meltdown so for now, it's best brought out and supervised while he's playing to help him but soon he'll understand (plus 2 year olds are clumsy and I don't want him standing and busting it). Trains, cars, balls whatever they think can go in it. It's strange like why didn't I think of this design and charge $20 but it's a winner.

I have 4 kids under the age of 8 so I was excited for them to get this toy given that there were so many amazing reviews about it on tik tok and Amazon! They love being Creative and I thought this is would a fun way for them to enjoy their toy cars, etc. it comes in three pieces, and for some reason took us a while to figure out how to get it together but once we did, it works well. It could also come apart for storage.

This tube was a birthday gift for a 2 year old. He was delighted to try sliding little race cars, larger marbles, smooth rocks, and little toys. His 4 year old brother has enjoyed it as well.

Most popular Christmas gift. Ridiculously simple. Every other gift went down this tube. It will break. Granddaughter kept trying to climb over it. We stopped her short of breaking it and the there was a little flex to it. It was popular with all ages which is hard to find.

All of my boys play with this. Sometimes, even though I tell them not to, they take it apart and walk around shouting through it. But my youngest kiddos use it for it's intended purpose the most.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my car/train crazy 4 year old son. It was almost exactly what I hoped it would be! Here's what I love about it: - EASY: I really appreciate it when things are easy to assemble, easy to play with and easy to store. Some of my son's toys require a PhD in engineering to use. This is about as simple as it gets. It really is just a tube. - QUALITY: I actually had lower expectations for the quality of this item when I ordered it and was pleasantly surprised when it arrived! The tube isn't flimsy and cheap. I was imagining the clear portion to be thinner plastic and more likely to crack but it's pretty thick actually! Unlike other reviewers, I have found the points that hold the 3 pieces together to be very durable. - SIMPLE: I love having toys like this that can be used as many ways as a kid can imagine and it doesn't have a screen, require batteries or a charger or make annoying sounds! We have used this on kitchen chairs, down the stairs or just flat on the floor passing things back and forth through it. It comes in 3 pieces that you just push together and can easily take apart for quick and minimal storage in a closet or cupboard, under a bed etc. - VERSITLE, WORKS WITH THOMAS TRAINS!!!! Ok so I was NOT expecting this but it was a huge bonus. My son is OBSESSED with Thomas trains (mostly the trackmaster ones) but he also has lots of hot wheels and similar die cast and plastic cars (which is the reason I bought this). However, I was DELIGHTED (or rather my son was) to find that the Thomas trains work great in this tube! We had a blast passing the trains through the tube back and forth on the floor. FABULOUS! It has really added a new dimension to his play with trains (which is a big deal because he's autistic and doesn't use his imagination much). It works with McDonalds Happy Meal cars, tech deck skateboards and the die cast Thomas take and play trains as well! - RUBBER RING I didn't know this when I bought it but it has a rubber ring on both ends to keep the tube from sliding when you prop it up on a chair or other surface. That is an awesome feature! The only thing I would say in terms of "cons" is that it really needs something to keep the tube from rolling side to side when it's propped up or flat on the floor. It would've been great if it had come with some sort of little flat holder, but that's all I can think of. A lot of people have complained about how you can make this yourself for a lot cheaper, but I disagree. This is a really well designed item that kids LOVE and the clear window in the middle is what my son loves most! I never could've made something this quality that he would like nearly as much with PVC pipe or whatever. I think this item is DEFINITELY worth the money and I plan to buy more to connect them all the way down the stairs! Between the materials I would need to make this and the time spent actually doing it myself, the cost is MORE than covered just buying this with a click of a mouse instead. I highly recommend this toy for lots of creative fun with cars, balls, trains, or ANYTHING you and your kiddo can think of! I did NOT receive this item for free or at a discount.
