This keeps the butter on my counter longer easy to use I keep unsalted butter in it I use distilled water and add sea salt to water it keeps the butter fresh and soft . Only thing is watch the temperature in my apt butter sometimes gets to soft so if it going to be hot I do put in fridge. ... show more

I changed my review from 4 to 5 because at first my butter got moldy to fast. Just add salt to the water. It is exactly what I wanted. Just reminder for everyone to... Always change water every 3 days then was bell as needed. Always add salt when you change your water. The butter can grow mold faster if you do not salt the water. I always put small ice in and salt the top of the ice. Buy one for sure. ... show more
