I am what you might generously describe as a “large mammal.” I have never enjoyed those dainty, fit-in-your-pocket umbrellas that surrender at the first hint of sideways rain. This is NOT that umbrella—and I love it. This umbrella is BIG. How big is it? Big enough that you can walk straight into 40+ mph winds with rain coming at you horizontally, go from your car to your workplace, and arrive bone dry. Ask me how I know. It’s also big enough to shelter another full-size human underneath it with room to spare during a normal rainstorm. Again—ask me how I know. If you want an umbrella that actually does the one job umbrellas are supposed to do—keep you dry—and you don’t care about stuffing it into a jacket pocket, buy this one. My wife loves this umbrella for its generous size and the push-button open feature. We used it during a heavy windstorm, and while it struggled a bit to fully open against the gusts, a quick reposition helped the wind do the rest. It never felt like it would flip inside out. The coverage is excellent, easily sheltered both of us as we walked into the store. There was some lift from the wind, but I never felt like I’d lose control of it. My wife held it for a while and occasionally bumped me in the head trying to stay centered under the canopy, which pushed me to the edge. It might be a bit heavy for her to hold comfortably for long periods, but she still recommends it, and so do I. One small note: I tossed the sleeve it came with. It just got in the way when trying to use the umbrella quickly. ... show more

This umbrella has a push button to automatically open and is easy to close again. It is big and can easily fit 2 people under it... or more, if the situation called for it. It folds up relatively small, but is still tall so harder to carry (we had one that folded in half and could be carried in a large purse or easily in your hand). That is my only complaint about this one (the long, folded up size). Otherwise, nice, big umbrella. ... show more

This umbrella is a nice size - and seems like good materials. That said, the reason for the low review is the long ends on each rib of the umbrella that extend over 1/2" beyond the umbrella frame. The ends are rounded but they are still quite small and extend unnecessarily far from the umbrella and seem like a significant risk to hit someone in the eye. Otherwise the umbrella quality is good - the frame and structure itself is mostly aluminum - and the umbrella material is a high quality water resistant fabric. The size is good for 1-2 people and it should hold up to a decent breeze. The umbrella is compact and fits nicely in its included carrying case with shoulder strap. I would not purchase again because i don't like the ends on this umbrella. ... show more

This is a review of the TOPSAIL Fast Drying Heavy Duty Windproof Large Umbrella. This is a very large (several people!), nicely arched, golf umbrella which certainly seems to perform well. It is lightweight, but sturdy. The spokes inside seem durable and well-made. It opens by means of a push button on the handle, which operates easily. The umbrella pops open automatically and closes without a struggle. It comes with a case and adjustable carry/shoulder strap. This is exactly what we needed for thunderstorms! 19/10 would recommend. ... show more

This umbrella is awesome! It literally has room for 2 people comfortably underneath it. I love the push button and it just pups out. Easy to fold up and a single strap to wrap it up. Very durable and feels like it can stand up to strong winds. Will use this umbrella for years!

This Umbrella is very large size. The quality is up there with the best I have used. It is very sturdy and not too heavy. It comes with a sleeve to store it in but I never use those and just store it closed with the snap strap that is built into the umbrella. This umbrella is pretty long like a cane and has a soft tip that will not damage my wood floor if set tip side down on the floor. The umbrella opens with the push of a button but closes manually by pulling the umbrella closed. Over all this is a very nice umbrella that if you are not looking for something compact this is a great choice. ... show more
