My wife has tried purchasing these shoes multiple times. She’s been looking for a WOMEN’S 10.5 and every time she ends up receiving a MEN’S 10.5. We’ve double checked that it says women’s when we place and it does. But upon arrival they are men’s and when we review the delivery information it says men’s. This has been incredibly frustrating and we’ll be making yet another return of this item. I’m not sure if this is an amazon fulfillment issue or what but the listed gender is most definitely falsely advertised. Very disappointed with Amazon on this one. As for the product itself, my wife has another pair that she’s purchased in-store and she loves the feel and the sizing is accurate (especially considering stores have show you the correct gender).

When I first slid my feet into the shoes, I immediately logged back in to start the return process. I ordered an 8 1/2 (this after having a pair of Supra high tops that gave me an ingrown nail at 8 1/2) thinking that the canvas would flex a little, but there was very little give when I'd slid in my foot. I used to wear this style of shoe, and rocked some converse for many years too, but wasn't prepared for how narrow they felt. I read up a little bit more on them, though, because there was still a bit of space in the tip of the shoe and I was worried the next size of would still be narrow and too much space in the toe. The vast majority of feedback is true--these shoes will break in rather easily and won't be so tight later. My feet were much more comfortable even after just a few more times of wearing them for a couple hours around the house, and just as easily after water proofing them.

These shoes are extremely light weight and comfortable. I've enjoyed shrinking, and then stretching them to achieve the "perfect fit". Google "how to stretch (or shrink) Toms shoes....there are some great videos. I ordered size 11, and they fit a bit loose around the heel. I wet the canvas, then put in the dryer. Too tight! I re-wet them and walked around with thick socks. A little spot stretching with shoe trees, and voila', perfect fit. I have a wide forefoot, high arches, and narrow heels- but I get a perfect fit after trial and error. It was fun. Great casual shoes for the money. Will buy another color next spring.

Fit great without needing a break-in period. May not be suitable for wide feet. I ordered the black color to replace my old pair I had for 4 years. Tom's canvas shoes hold up quite well, unless you leave them around a teething puppy. I guess I just needed a good excuse to buy a new pair. There are no frills or bells and whistles, just consistant comfort and a classic look. These are a great replacement for flip-flops, as they breathe incredibly well and don't cause bad foot odor. The initial quality seems to be the same, so I'm hoping they last as long as my old pair.

My daughter's shoe size is usually 3, but I ordered 5.5 because of many of reviews. It was still too small for her. So I returned and reordered size 6. But it was small again. Why?? Design's good. Comfortability is not. Not sure why these factories do not add some memory foam to these type of shoes. I would rather to buy some Skechers, but since they don't make out this design I am just resigned to keep waiting until some brand decide to start making espadrilles for men that include memory foam in them.

Typically wear a size 13 shoe (Nike is my best fit) and ordered a size 13 of these. They are just a little bigger than I would like but certainly wearable. The 12 would definitely be too small.

I love Toms shoes in the summer, especially at the beach. They don’t age well, they get grubby looking really quickly but they don’t fall apart and stay super comfortable. Buy a pair , especially if you want light, comfortable shoes in the summer but don’t want to wear sandals.
