Description

TOMS commits ⅓ of their profits in support of grassroots good, partnering with organizations at the local level to boost mental health, increase access to opportunity, and end gun violence. TOMS Shoes was founded in 2006 by Blake Mycoskie. The shoe is a unique slip-on design comprised of clean lines and lightweight fabrics in vibrant colors and prints. TOMS was founded when Blake was inspired on a trip to Argentina by the traditional, rope-soled Argentine "alpargata." He was struck by the poverty and health issues of the country, and set out to reinvent the alpargata for the U.S. market, and in doing so to accomplish one goal: Making life more comfortable for those without shoes. To realize this purpose, Blake made a commitment to match every pair of TOMS purchased with a donation of a pair to a child in need. It's simple: If you buy a pair of TOMS, the company will give a pair to someone in need on your behalf. During its first year in business, TOMS sold 10,000 pairs of shoes, and Blake returned to Argentina to lead his first annual Shoe Drop during which he donated to the children who had inspired him. TOMS Shoes are now available in multiple colors and fabric combinations for men, women and a recently introduced line for children, aptly titled Tiny TOMS.

These didn't fit snugly. They have wiggle room which doesn't feel secure on my foot. Half size down would be too small. I remember my first three pairs of toms were great. This new line of look alike just don't feel great.

I took a chance because these were on sale. I got a 10 when I’m normally a 10.5. I’m pretty sure they are two different sizes. One fits snug and one has wiggle room. Also even though I got these for $20 I think these will last me 3 months max. They feel like paperboard. Luckily I just want them for slip ins at the gym. ... show more

    • Between sizes problem. Otherwise a very nice shoe.
I really wanted these to work as I've been looking for a slip on shoe for casual use. The shoes are so minimalist and perfect for a city like Los Angeles for just walking around. Unfortunately, I'm right between sizes 12 and 13 for Tom's which is right where they stop making half sizes. I even tried a few other standard loafers from Tom's and have the same issue which is a pity. Their 12's feel like they're pinching too much and I can feel the edges of the sole under the sides of my feet. 13's go on and off too easily so they'll just be loose slippers when they break in. If there was a 12.5, these would get a 5 star. I did like them besides sizing. If you're like me and have slightly wider feet or fall between sizes, check out Tom's Avalon Sneakers. They're similarly priced, look somewhat similar but the main difference is they'll have a thicker and slightly wider base which will be more forgiving size wise and honestly a bit more comfortable walking in them. I fit into a size 12 so size down if you're in between. If someone is playing detective on my reviews, I am copying this review to the other Tom's that I tried on. ... show more

Completely forgot I was ordering men’s shoes and ordered a size 7. It fit like a men’s size 7 but my goal was a woman’s size 7 LOOOL oversight on my part. But toms are super durable, I bought these red ones because of the black ones I stole from my sister in law like 5 years ago and she had them for years before I stole them too and they hold up SO WELL! now they’re with my mom cause she stole them from me :’) ... show more

Let me begin with some background; I am an 18-year-old student, and I have been wearing TOMS Classic shoes for about two years. I have only owned the Classics, and all of them have been purchased in black. I don't own any other shoes. I wear these casually, on my motorcycle, in my tuxedo-- all of the time. They look fantastic. Unfortunately, they don't last me very long. I am not a very active person; I don't rough-house, or play any sort of sports, or try and work out in my new shoes (I use my old ones for that). They always develop a hole in the big toe. I cut my toenails religiously, and I can not possibly order a size bigger without them falling off while I walk. Pros - They look great and are stylish - They support a good cause - They are comfortable Cons - They cost $50 ($35 would be much more reasonable) - They wear out too quickly They are great shoes, but I wouldn't recommend them to everyone. They are worth buying and owning a pair, even if just to try out, though, but don't expect them to replace your shoes permanently unless you are very gentle on shoes, and you have money to get new ones every three months or so. ... show more
