We wanted a bottle that would help with the anti gas and this one is real good I like the most is how I can take it all apart and clean it very well now keep in mind they are meant only for milk or formula and water. My mother make a carrot and orange juice for our son and it did stain the bottle but it’s a carrot so don’t recommend doing that lol . On a side not make sure to always have the center parts in the bottle regardless if only giving you baby water as without that center part it will leak and if dropped open and spill the water everywhere… yes that did happen manny time to us before we figured out why lol save yourself time lol and always have the center parts in the bottles all in all a great Bottle. ... show more

Among the bottles I have are the mam, dr brown, Phillips avent, Phillips avent anti colic, and this to me tippee. I wanted a bottle that would be big enough when the baby is older and yet still have the anti colic features for my new born. I also wanted to be able to access it with my giant dad hands when cleaning. And I wanted something that was affordable and easy to use. The tommee tippee cons It leaks if you assemble it incorrectly or try to leave any of the anti colic features off. The bottle cap doesn’t really stick down as much as I would like it to and can fall off. My hand doesn’t fit in the 9 ounce one to the bottom for cleaning. The star piece is easily lost and the bottle is trash without it My wife hates washing them There is always alittle milk that gets held up in the side that you have to shake around while trying not to wake up your baby to get into the nipple. The tommee tippee pros They are lightweight and the heat up in the warmer fast They have 9 ounces The nipple shape is the best for my baby The anti colic device does work well They do not leak as long as you assemble them correctly They are affordable and a decent bottle Over all I rate this bottle a 4 out of 5 keep in mind I have not found a bottle worth giving 5 stars to they all have issues. ... show more

I have exclusively my son since birth. However, for the first few weeks, he had a hard time latching on (he was born a "tongue-sucker" and with an high palate) and took him a couple of weeks (and many lactation consults,assertive devices, and tears before success. while he ended a great nurser, I was warned by many "professionals and family against any bottle feedings. however, I had to return to woks seeks after birth, and only way I could give him breastmilk only was to pump and have my mother feed him from bottle several times a day. i purchased several different bottle brands, (Advent, and others advertised to avoid nipple confusion and mimics the breast; including "Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature" bottle, (Be careful package is labeled "Sensitive Tummy Bottle" with picture of tube and valve system, which is critical in reduction off air bubbles that can cause air bubbles in tummy, discomfort, and increased spit up. Additionally, it makes a "whistle" sound if improperly fed and valve turns red if temperature rises above 98°F. All these features resulted in the only bottle which reduced/eliminated extra air in tummy, decreased spit up, and was able to successfully alternate between bottle and breastfeeding. The bottle needs to be assembled exactly per instructions, which took a bit to master, but crucial for it to work. From six weeks old and continuing currently at 12 months old; they have held up, and he still successfully uses. The only negative but avoidable issue I found was the small, clear, wheel-shaped bottom piece of valve blends in with water when washing, is and I have lost a few. I have not found replacements to buy, so had to purchase of few extra bottles to replace it. Although frustrating at time- in the end was nice to have entire new bottles, which are affordable. The bottles themselves have a wide opening and any standard bottle brush works. The valves and nipples need to be cleaned with a specific narrow brush, (included with every bottle purchased), but entire bottle is simple to clean. If purchase a bottle warmer, make sure the width dimensions allow the bottle to fit inside. finally, I cannot stress how these bottles are HUGE factor in the success I had returning to work, transition daily feedings between bottle and without infant discomfort or refusal to feed either way! ... show more

I've struggled for a while finding a bottle that my breastfed baby will use without nipple confusion and refusing to nurse. Well, I FINALLY found it!! My daughter also has terrible reflux and there has been a notable difference in how much she is spitting up and fussy/gassy after having a bottle. (The sitter is VERY pleased!) I was reluctant at how well the bottle would be made because of the price, assuming it was a "cheapy" because I have spend SO MUCH on all of the "high quality" bottles out there trying to find the perfect one for my baby. I was so disappointed in all of the other brands I had purchased when I received this because I spent 2-3x more on all of the others and they weren't nearly as nice as this one! I have noticed that if you microwave the bottle it will leak terribly (the sitter and I don't ever microwave the breast milk, we run it under hot water, but my husband is stubborn and impatient and microwaves it) but I don't recommend microwaving the milk anyway-for not only that reason, but it can have 'hot spots' that can scold you baby, and it also kills a lot of it's nutritional benefits. Moral of the story, don't microwave your milk! and BUY THIS BOTTLE! You'll be glad you did! :) ... show more
