These are great for a low cost clipless road shoe. My only real gripe is they trnd to run narrow. I ordered a 45 and they fit length wise but they were a lottle cramped because of how narrow they are. My feet are not wide either and my other pair of Shimano RC3 in the same size fit fine.

the ratcheting system is cool. But the shoe is kind of narrow for me. For me it's not velcro or ratcheted down

Frankly I can't fully rate them yet as they have only been used on the indoor trainer. I don't race so I don't need the lightest shoe out there. These are a decent replacement for the 12 yo Performance brand shoes that just finally wore out on me. I have wide feet so the fit is perfect where most cycling shoes run on the narrow side for me. The only frustrating thing was the 2 cleat Shimano style plate in the sole that moves around and rattles. I am using Look Delta 3 hole cleats. I had to cut open the bottom of the shoe on the inside to get the two screw base plate out and stop the noise. ... show more

Product did not fit as expected. I still give these shoes 5 stars though because once I returned and got the proper size... I can't say enough good things about them. They're very comfortable, they're just wide enough to be the right kind of snug without pinching the feet and keep them from going numb. For sizing reference: In normal shoes I wear a 10.5 and in cycling shoes it's closer to 11. So I ordered an 11. Got the shoes in and there was about an inch of clearance from my big toe to the front of the shoe. Ordered a full size down to a 10 and they fit perfectly. I'm not crazy about them, the bottoms are super flat and smooth which makes walking challenging and getting hooked into the SBD clips really difficult.
