I like the ability to velco in and out fast since I have little kids constantly interrupting my workouts. I probably should have gotten the kind for outdoor cycling and walking? At any rate one reviewer said the tongue pushes into their shin ankle. I agree however it is made of a soft almost neoprene material and dosent bother me. I also tried this company in the lace up style with blue laces and the sides of those pinched the outer ankle for me. It looks like I have thick ankles in the photos but I don't really lol just bad angle and trying to flex to show the presure, I have generally narrow feet and have to tighten things a ton to feel snug. I'm a 6.5 in nearly every shoe. I got these in a 7 and wish they had a 6.5. I think it would be spot on, but the 7 (sole has the marking 37) is good for if I'm swollen I guess. The toe is hard to tighten because I need to pull it past the soft Velcro to tighten it enough. You can see my big toe flexing up in the toe box. Also, even though they look identical I could not get the cleets that came with it into my new schwinn IC4. I lossened the pedal spring and everything. My IC4 came with cleets so I tried them onnthis shoe and they worked! I recently started taking cycle fit classes. I was renting a shoe from the gym and then decided I liked it too much to be paying $3 every class. This shoe is a perfect fit. I wear a size 10 in women's. I did go through the reviews and found a mix on sizing, so I decided to go with my true to size. Fit is spot on! Comfortable for my classes. Easy to attach the SPD cleat to the pedal. Cute style. Light feeling. I also felt that these were reasonably priced, as the pair I was renting were $150. I struggled with my Peloton shoes for years. They were just too narrow in the toe box. I should have purchased these shoes years ago. They are easy to adjust, the Velcro straps hold, and I can finally wiggle my toes. I would buy these again in a heartbeat and can’t believe I didn’t purchase them sooner. Initially I gave a 5 star review after several wears. A few months later I experienced slight difficulty uncoupling one of the shoes. That issue became more and more frequent to where I could not unclip at all on that one shoe. What also became noticeable was the rubber chaffings from the shoe on my floor from the difficulty of uncoupling. The clip often became stuck on the bike pedal and eventually the clip detached from the shoe altogether. I was able to fix it the first time, but now the clips completely wore off and detached. I had bunion surgery three months ago and was desperate to get cycling again but needed a shoe that was pliable and had a wider toe box. This fit the bill! I use them on the Peloton, have no issues clipping in or out like I do with my regular peloton shoes.
