It works so well that it's actually fun to use! I'm just following the directions -- hold at a 45° angle, move applicator sideways to cover error, then to ensure a clean cut of tape (my favorite part) turn the applicator upright before lifting. Works like magic -- so clean that it even works with tiny corrections!! As for color, the tape I received is absolutely white. The width of the tape is slightly smaller than my old Paper-Mate, but it's so easy and clean to use, that I don't mind making an extra swipe as needed. And there's a rewind knob in case the tape becomes loose, although I haven't needed to use it. I love this stuff! Huge improvement over the name brand white-out, especially for handwriting correction. Glides on silky smooth and doesn’t lump up when lapping over. So handwriting looks neat on top of applied product. The plastic encasement is well made top quality, also an improvement over name brand product. Very fair price. Have tried other brands of these correction tapes and absolutely hated their products! Have never been able to get a consistent continuous flow of the tape and would become frustrated and toss them. When I ordered this, I thought "one more time and if this doesn't work better, I am finished with correction tape." Much to my surprise and pleasure this Tombow product has been an excellent choice.
