I put off trying this because I didn’t think I needed it, but it’s really worth it. Everything I use it on sticks totally flat in my journal. It’s hard to keep it rolling straight, but that’s really my only qualm. This is much, much better than a stick of glue, and I’m never going back.

I purchased this to seal up goodie bags I printed myself. I ran a strip up along the bottom, top, and along the long crease that made up the back of the bag. Wow! This tape sealed these bags and held them together for days. I made the bags in advance and was prepared for the tape to give before the event. Nope! Very strong. In fact, I kept an empty goodie bag I sealed up and months later, it is still sealed. I would highly recommend the Tombow 62106 MONO Permanent Adhesive Applicator. This is my first Tombow tape runner, though I had a bulkier runner in the past. I mostly do card making and have only made one card with this runner, but so far it's a great improvement to the gluestick I had been using. The glue tape held together pieces patterned paper and even patterned paper stuck to uneven corrugated paper. I did have a little issue getting it started, mostly due to how my previous runner worked. I was pressing too hard and could not get any tape to come out. Then I started using less pressure and easily the thin tape rolled out. Definitely user error and will take a little getting used to. There is a little plastic flap that covers the glue tape when not in use. It is easily folded back and snaps out of the way when in use, but I am curious how long it will last and if it will fall off all together. If anything changes with the flap I will update my review. I don't think it would be a deal breaker (as Tombow is a great price point for tape runners), but it is nice that the adhesive can be covered when stored. ... show more

I've been using this to attached my watercolor paintings to blank cards for mailing. It's easy to use, can be repositioned after application if done immediately, and forms a good permanent seal that won't separate.

This tombow applicator seems to work very well for most materials. I tend to use this applicator for tasks involved in picture framing. I use it to secure the mat to the foam core board. The adhesive is very very good for paper products, so it works really well for my uses. I also used it to secure bubble wrap in the inside lining of a socket set in order to keep the sockets from moving. It had a harder time applying to the smooth injection-molded plastic but in the end it worked fine. It was just a bit more fussy to apply. The applicator is between 3-4 inches long and 1.5-2 inches wide. It fits easy in the palm of your hand. Buying this will get you the applicator and one 1/3"x472" roll of double-sided adhesive. You can order a set of three refill cartridges on Amazon as well. I wrote a review for that product as well: Tombow Mono Permanent Adhesive Refills, 3 Pack (62207) Pros: *Great adhesive on most materials *Easy to dispense Cons: *Adhesive does not like certain plastics (-1/4 star) Additional Considerations: Make sure the adhesive you select will do the job you want. The adhesive included with this applicator is acid free which is great for photos. Make sure any additional refills you buy fit your needs. I have been using this product for many years and have never had anything but a great experience with it. One of the reviews I read said to buy Staples brand - DON'T do it. After reading that I felt I needed to write a review. I am pretty sure I have tried every brand on the market and Staples brand was worthless - they ended up in the trash. The adhesive jammed up constantly and the adhesive was not as strong. Don't waste your money trying to save a few cents, in the end you will waste tape, ruin projects and frustration levels will soar. ... show more
