So I can't comment on the thickness or stretch because when I realized how large it was, never even took it out of the wrapping. I thought this came with a onesie and a shirt/pants based on description and pic for some of the options. We only got the outfit. It’s cute has some stretch and I could have been wrong. it will fit well for our 18-24 month old sized child

I love this outfit for my son. The only problem is that it is way too big. He will be 4 months around Halloween, and I doubt he will be able to fit into the 3-6 month size. We're going to save it anyway and wear it for fun when he's able to fit into it.
