    • Beautiful Vinyl, BUT I Do Have Some Critiques

I just want to say that I am relatively new to vinyl, so that might be why I have some critiques. I have only used cricut brand vinyl before using this. First of all, this vinyl is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! I’ve had such a hard time finding a true rose gold vinyl and this definitely is it! For the critiques, I will say that I found it hard to weed. Pulling back the vinyl was a dream, but the weeding was a little difficult. I found myself poking holes in the backing. I also found that this vinyl might not be the best with thin script/calligraphy fonts because I did have some ripping. Third, it scratches VERY easily, so just be aware of that when you are weeding. I cannot speak to the wear and longevity, but it seemed to stick quite well to a champagne glass that was cleaned with rubbing alcohol. I contemplated buying this, and I am happy that I did, but if you are a beginner like me, I would just be careful and practice a bunch! ... show more

    • Expected a better adhesive. Wasted a lot to recut strips & apply Gorilla Gel to adhere to project.

Adhesive backing was poor. First it was hard to work with and it didn't stick well. I decided to remove what I had used and buy another product from another supplied who's project had an easy to remove backing and had a better adhesive.

I am honestly very impressed by this Metallic Rose Gold Vinyl, I had read previous comments from other reviews stating negative things but I truly believe that they were just using the wrong cut settings because I had no problems what so ever. I used my Cricut Explore Air 2 to cut the vinyl and changed the dail cut settings between (VINYL & IRON ON) I added a picture for reference incase anyone else is wondering the settings I used. I also really love how thin the vinyl is because once I apply it to my cup it sits super flush and I don’t have to worry about it coming off or lifting. I highly recommend this vinyl if you are looking for something similar to TekWrap but this is much thinner which I love because I don’t have to worry about my vinyl lifting on the edges. I also used low tack transfer tape which was super easy to transfer to cup with no problems. ... show more

Love the overall product!!! The rose gold foil looks beautiful! The weeding was also easy! I love the backing of this permanent vinyl! Again it is what makes it easy to peel and use. My hardest struggle with this vinyl is not knowing what setting to use. I tried permanent vinyl with default pressure and it did not cut through. I finally ended up trying heavy cardstock 100 lb setting and it was able to cut through. Maybe setting options vary per user and materials? I’m not sure. I am working with non circuit brand may and blade. But after trail and error I have successfully found what works for me. (Have not tried to apply on surfaces yet) ... show more

It took me a few tries till I got the cut right but once I got it, it was super easy to work with ! I set my crochet explore air 2, to light cardstock and it cut perfectly ! I knocked off a star because the vinyl doesn’t come with a clear protective layer on it so the first few inches (and even into the roll of it I’m noticing) scratches and scuffs because there’s nothing to protect it. Metallic vinyl is easily scratched so I wish they would add that to keep it in tact. ... show more
