  • Just can't go wrong with Timberland!
Size: 9 Color: Dark Brown Full Grain
I love my new Timberland hiking boots. These were on my radar for several months before they went on sale, and I snatched them up. I'm so happy with them. I like that they are a very sturdy hiking boot that are comfortable and supportive around the ankle. They are true to size, although they do fit closely around the foot and ankle. If your feet are very wide, I would recommend sizing up half a size. One just can't go wrong with Timberland! ... show more

  • Love, love, love these boots!
Update (almost 9 months later): Still loving these! In general just wear them a lot. Light weight, look good and are comfortable (especially around my ankles unlike other boots I’ve had). We’ve been through another week long camping and hiking trip. Really appreciate that the tread grips well but doesn’t hold on to dirt and mud. I occasionally put mink oil on them and they are holding up well. Reviews that mentioned scuff marks-Yes, they show scuffs easily, I think it’s due to whatever type of leather it is. On mine it has become overall less noticeable. Minor and not a deal breaker for me, these are fantastic boots! Original review: Unbelievable how great these boots are! My normal size-6 1/2- was perfect. As others say, they needed almost no break in period. I ordered them last minute for a week long hiking trip. Wore them for 3 straight days to try to break them in before we left and they were comfortable from the start. Held up to rain and dew and mud. Good traction over rocky and uneven terrain. So impressed and they are so comfortable I wear them around town now that we’re back home. ... show more

  • 10/10
These boots are amazing. Can’t attest to how they’ll hold up over time but they feel amazing out of the box and are true to size. I can see why people are saying they are “narrow”. I usually wear wide shoes and these fit me well though, so they aren’t so narrow as to be an issue for the average foot. They also don’t look manly! Which, as a female hiker, I appreciate. They are classy and comfy. I had been wearing LL bean but their quality has failed in recent years. My boots from them fall apart after 6 months… hopefully these stand the test of time. $90 for these is a great price. ... show more

  • Good Boot
I read the reviews before ordering. First, the boots are cute, more girly than bulky others. The length is true to size. They are new leather so they are tight, but I walked around the house wearing 2 pair of thick socks, not comfortable, but it gave the stretch and break in needed. The next day the boots got even looser and the toe break loosened quickly. They are warm and comfortable but I wouldn't do a 5 mile hike in them. They are more cushioned than my old Timberlands which won't wear out. The grip is also good. I took a star because of the tightness and hoping they will loosen even more. UPDATE: I did do a 5+ mile hike in these and they were fine. If wearing a thick sock I would go up a half size but I found thinner socks and they work fine. The boots are warm with thin socks. ... show more

  • quality boots
Size: 7.5 Color: Dark Brown Full Grain
I like this boot; however, I decided to return it because of insufficient roominess inside, a personal preference. I wear a 7.5M, and the length was perfect, but the boot felt narrower than I prefer for a medium width. I suspect if a person has wide feet it might not work at all, and for some mediums it'd probably be fine, but I personally like a tad more room to wiggle my toes. In the same order I also purchased a Columbia hiking boot, and I liked that the Columbia has a wider sole, which I think will provide more stability for me. But this Timberland boot seems to be excellent quality and could be perfect for someone other than me. ... show more

  • Hiked Angels Landing right out of the box!
Size: 9.5 Color: Dark Brown Full Grain
These boots are incredibly comfortable. I ordered them a few days before my trip and tried them on as soon as they arrived. I wear a 9.5 and I have narrow heels (they tend to slip out the back of most shoes unless I put heel grips inside) and my toes are fairly long. I was worried these might be a bit too wide and/or not flex in the right place as I walked, but to my surprise they were perfect and had a nice slim profile without being too tight/narrow. After being on my feet for maybe 3 minutes, I packed them up and didn't put them on again until I got to Zion. The morning of the hike I put them on and we walked all over the place as we stopped at pull-offs along the scenic drive, hiked all over the parking lot to catch the shuttle, and then hiked up all 21 switchbacks before climbing up the spine to the summit of Angels Landing, and then back down (~5.5 miles round trip for that hike alone). Not once over the course of all of that did I feel the balls of my feet/toes/toenails/heels aching, rubbing, or bruising in the boots (all complaints I read in reviews for other popular hiking boots) and again, that was the first time I really wore them for anything besides to take a picture. They were comfortable and supportive and I cannot say enough good things about them! I will add a note that the material does scuff easily (another complaint I've seen in other boot reviews) but I would never expect hiking boots to look brand new and not scratched up after that much hiking/climbing so keep that in mind. TL;DR - These boots are amazing right out of the box! ... show more

  • Back of the ankle was extremely stiff and cast like
Size: 9.5 Color: Dark Brown Full Grain
I love Timberlands and I really wanted to like these but I couldn't get them off my feet fast enough. The high back is extremely stiff and doesn't allow for movement. The arch pushes against the bottom of my foot in an awkward place and is very uncomfortable. I'd rather be barefoot than wear these shoes. Sad because they fit the rest of my foot well and have a nice tread ... show more

  • Long lasting
Size: 9 Color: Dark Brown Full Grain
I've had these boots for over a year now. I only occasionally use them for hiking but do use them almost everyday for normal activities and they have held up very well! No issues at all in over a year of constant use.
