  • Comfort
Size: 10 Color: Black Full Grain
This is my second pair of timberland hiking boots. My job requires a lot of walking, and comfort is a big factor. Using different brands of boots and shoes thru the years, I can honestly say that Timberland is a real find. I’m well satisfied and no problems or grips! I would highly recommend Timberland hiking boots for, comfort, reliability, and the waterproof leathers are excellent. ... show more

  • Best choice
Size: 8.5 Color: Medium Brown Full Grain
I have worn Timberland for years the last pair I bought was around 2016 so I got about six years out of it I don’t wear them every day I wear them hiking and working in the yard and hunting and things like that but they’ve always been very good at waterproofing traction and top notch in comfort I was just gonna get another pair of timberlands. I ordered them from Academy. I always wear eight they were too narrow read the reviews on Amazon, others complain about them being narrow so I purchased an eight. Yes they are narrow compared to my others. I also got a Nortiv8 and Columbia MR something. Timberland size 8 1/2 now fits me like 8 used to and I haven’t grown. Timberland compared to the Columbia and the Nortiv8. There was a huge difference the Columbia newton ridge while it had had 27,000 reviews and most of them are good. they must’ve been paid for those reviews. because the shoes weren’t sturdy definitely not a hiking shoe. maybe a knock around the yard shoe but the soul is very soft hollow has air pockets in the show sole. you could push it in with your finger. so I can only imagine how weak it would be on sharp stones and in rough rocky terrain. it wouldn’t work well. The Nortiv8 looks and seems quite well made especially for the price of 50.00. But I was unsure of the waterproofing ability. The comfort, fit and thickness of the soul were much better than Colombia but we’re not up to where the Timberland quality. I kept the Timberland at $75 more than the Nortiv but they feel fit and wear so well and I’m confident in the waterproof ability as I’ve had them for 20+ years ... show more

  • Great Boots but . . . .
Size: 12 Wide Color: Brown/Green
I normally don't like ordering shoes online unless I've tried them on in a store and know all the specifics of what I need/like. I took a chance on these since they come highly recommended by my brothers who have, of course, similar feet. I love them -- they feel like I'm walking on clouds and, for once, they are the right length -- that is to say, my toes don't get rubbed off (my big toe is too long -- it's a family trait). My brother told me he gets the shoe in WIDE so I did too. Well, if this is wide (and the labeling on the shoe says it is), I'd hate to see what medium or narrow is. So, buyer beware -- while these are great shoes, if you need a wide shoe, these are not for you. ... show more

  • Great quality, style and tread.
Size: 9.5 Wide Color: Brown/Green
The size was perfect but the padding inside is fairly generous and made for a tight fit until they broke in a bit. Good support and sturdy so far.

  • These are an awesome replacement for previous brand boot
Size: 11.5 Wide Color: Black Full Grain
UPDATE: been a few more years, still wearing these. They last maybe 6-9 months, I’m a big guy and wear a single pair of these as the only shoes I wear 18 hours a day. Seriously. Then I replace them. Found this is the only way to go, different shoes make my bones hurt so I stick with a single pair of boots until worn out. My complaint is they are still hard to find, often out of stock in 12 wide in black. At around $100 per pair, about 1/2 the price of danners. And frankly not many boots are orthotic friendly including other Tim’s. I had been wearing the big "D" boots for years, in particular the striker series. They changed them, two more times from the original, and their last iteration was impossible to wear. Seriously, those boots is all I ever wore, work, home, beach, etc. Trying things like the popular "C" shoes, sneaks, etc. all gave my feet major problems even with orthotics. I'm as flat footed as they come, so this is always an issue and thus why I wear orthotics. Fast forward and I did a lot of research on boots. I had thought of trying a more common name in uniform boots, but wanted to try these because of the good reviews. These turned out to be an awesome find. I know that I was wearing an 11 EE in the big "D" and so I ordered the 11.5 EE (wide) in the Timberlands and that turned out to be a good idea. Their sizes run a tad small and definitely not as wide. Timberlands EE is more narrow than the big "D" EE. Since they don't make an even wider size, I'll make due. And the leather will surely stretch, it always does. The quality of these is amazing. They have a great build quality, seems to be very comfortable though I have just started wearing them today. They do accommodate an orthodic, but not as well as some other wide boots may. Either way I have been wearing them since USPS delivered today (SUNDAY) and they feel good. This is a first, never had a pair of shoes or boots that I could wear the whole day and not have aching feet. The only real problem I see is that this size is sold out everywhere. Even Amazon. I can only hope they are not discontinued, that would be awful and would have to start searching all over again for something that fits and works with my feet. I even tried a pair of Timberland White Ledge or something, 11 EE, and those are being returned. They are not wide enough, not long enough, and they cut down across the top of my foot no matter how loose I make them. My goal is just to buy enough of these to have on hand as the others wear, to go into a new pair. I figure a pair of boots, worn all day and night, might last 9 months-1 year, if I get more that is great. But a year is a good plan even per my foot doctor as they wear down over that year. If you like brown, or you can find these in your size, go for it. They are awesome boots and feel very comfortable, even on someone who has major foot issues with fit/comfort/etc. I've written to Timberland to see what their future plans are for this model. UPDATE: After about a week, my feet could not be happier. They are working out well. In fact, much better than my previous brand boot that I was wearing for 7-10 years. I would buy 2 new pairs of those other brand boots each year. I'd wear a pair to work, then come home and get changed, and wear the other. And after a year, they were both worn down pretty bad. I'd know because my knees would start hurting. So, I can only hope these hold up as well.....so far, so good. Bad part is these are on backorder until October, 2014 per Timberland.
