Grandma had bought it before and it was so easy, she had me order it again after she moved. Best to buy new if you move since I don't think reusing would be a good idea.

I'm so completely thrilled with this wall decal. I'm one of those people who have literally NO PATIENCE for a huge project, but I want them to be done and look great. Since I don't have the money to hire someone... I do them myself but try to get easy big projects. LOL I loved the look of this tree online. It's not too cartoony, and it's a great size. When I received it, I was happy to see there's a little pull off decal of the entire layout (with numbers next to the branches) that you can stick near your assembly station. It keeps you in line and helps you know what to do next. It was easy to keep my patience with that diagram next to me. The decals are a tiny bit see through, but nothing too bad. Once it sticks to the wall, the shadow of the wall kills any see throughness of the decal itself. So, DON'T PANIC when you notice that. The decals are floppy, etc, and they will stick to themselves, the wall, your shirt, everything. Keep i away from your clothing, if possible. But, I did accidentally have a leaf stick to my shirt, and I pulled it off... it then stuck fine to the wall. The decals are very sticky, but they come apart quite easily when they stick to each other or themselves by accident. They are also easily movable if placed somewhere that you don't like and want to move. I moved quite a few leaves around. Also, since I still have no patience by the end of the process, after putting up the branches, I kinda just put the leaves wherever I liked them. I didn't follow the picture, since it didn't have diagrammed where the leaves go. And, I quite like the layout of my leaves. :) It made me relax a bit. It stuck very well, is a thin material that is easily pliable, and I even put it over my light switch and around a corner without any special tools. My husband was even impressed by my "technical" application. All in all, it took about 30 minutes. I'm totally doing more of these everywhere in my house. :) Thanks for reading. I love my tree wall! Wall decals may be the Next Big Thing for apartment dwellers. Heck, there's no reason why homeowners won't love them, too; it was super-easy to install! The decals arrive in a 12-inch tube with three rolled-up sheets of paper; the decals are arranged in pieces on the paper, and you have to cut them apart. On the upper left corner of the top sheet is a diagram of the whole tree with the branch numbers (1-12) so that you can figure out which branch goes where. While the leaves can be placed any way you like, you'll want to trim out the branches to include the printed number next to it. You start with #1, the trunk. #2 extends vertically from the trunk, while #3 and #4 branch off from #1. It's easy to tell where each branch attaches, and the diagram makes it easy to set up. Start by peeling off the bottom edge, aligning it where the branch comes off the trunk, and then slowly un-peel the decal, rolling up and away from the trunk. I used a driver's license as a straight-edge as I unpeeled the decal. I did find that any lumps and bumps on the wall stand out if the decal covers them, and there is a slightly visible stripe where I overlapped pieces by maybe an eighth of an inch. But these are only noticeable if you're standing right next to the wall, peering closely at it. It doesn't leave any marks on the wall or paint, although I suppose if you take it down after a few years, the wall might be cleaner where the decal had been. All in all, this decal makes me very happy. It was kind of fun to put up, and I love looking at it. Everyone compliments me on it, and I seem to have become a vinyl wall decal catalyst. All my friends want decals now. Tip: when ordering, get some painters tape, too. You really do need to tape it up first to make sure it's arranged where you want it. If you're an apartment dweller like me, you probably don't have a supply of painters tape lying around, and it's not cheap at the hardware store. ... show more
