The perfect boot

After reading reviews I bought the 6.5, half a size up, and they're a great fit. Beautiful leather, lovely, versatile color, and really elegant. I have a narrow foot, and the fit is ideal but if you run wide, heads up, because the shank is on the narrow side of medium, and the toe box might be tight for you. They slip on and off easily, have a great fit around the ankle - they skin, and don't flop, as some Chelsea and other ankle boots can. I love the sole; there's a nice non-skid rubber bit, but it's not bulky. These will look equally great with jeans as with tights and skirts or leggings, and with dresses all year (where are my fellow GenX people?). I've been thinking about these since last year and debated about the price point, but the quality is excellent, and I expect them to last a long time, and get a beautiful patina with wear. If you have high arches consider an insole, though they're surprisingly comfortable for being as flat as they are. I wouldn't miss out on these; they're going to be in heavy rotation next to my Sorels. It doesn't surprise me to see so many reviews about people wearing them in Europe; they are that cool, that understated, that hip, without looking at all like you're trying to be trendy. A classic boot worth every penny.

I’m obsessed with these! the fit is pretty good, if you also have very narrow feet you might need to put padding in the heel, but it’s no big problem. the arch support is fantastic, and the color is beautiful and rich. they do have a pretty strong smell out of the box, but it fades within a couple days.

Beautifully made boot, but size up half a size

Beautiful shoe (love the olive color) but like many reviewers have stated, it does run a bit narrow and short, even for those with narrow feet. I’m a 7.5 in most shoes, including boots, but I can also wear a size 8. I bought these in a 7.5 but the fit was “too perfect “ and a little tight in the toes, so I’m returning for an 8. Sadly, I’ll have to wait at least a week to get them.

Tight Fit, Mediocre Support, Great style

I had been looking for a pair of classic Black leather Chelsea's for a while now and stalking this pair. After reading several reviews that the boots were uncomfortable I deliberated back and forth for a while but ultimately decided to try. Fit: The boots are very form fitting and narrow. I have average feet, not particularly narrow or wide and when I first got these I had to break them in a bit because they were extremely tight. Even now that they are broken in they are still a snug but comfortable fit. Sometimes I still need to use a shoe horn to slide into them and I can only wear a very thin pair of socks or tights with them. Comfort: These shoes don't have great arch support. My feet feel about as supported as if I as wear a basic pair of flats or sandals. I wouldn't say that they are uncomfortable, but if you generally like to have a well structured pair of shoes with a lot of support these are NOT for you. The tight fit of them also makes adding any sort of secondary support insert extremely difficult. Just something to consider Style: These boots are exactly the aesthetic I wanted. The leather is beautiful and soft but seems to withstand basic wear and tear. I love them so much

Looks sleek but ware almost immediately

Shoes arrived on a Friday. Looked sleek and very cool. Did a quick try on just to check fit and while a bit snug on the foot, lots of room around ankles. Not wholly uncomfortable and leather does always expand a bit, but, folks noting narrower fit at foot are true to words there. Wore the shoes first time today at work where I teach and walk around office and class mostly. No scuffing or hitting shoes on anything. When I took them off for a break at end of day, I noticed some black flakes on my one hand. The right shoe is perfect. Looks shiny. However, the left had some issues showing already with material coming off the sole and leather starting to strip off one small section. You barely notice it but when I came home and took off shoe, more came off. It’s just the one small section but at 160, I don’t expect shoes like this to do this after day one, and, as said, the right shoe is absolutely pristine. So, not sure what’s happening there but disheartening as that is likely to just keep getting worse.

Really awesome boots!

I’ve been eyeing these boots for a long time on the Thursday Boots website. They were out of this color that I wanted, so I bought them here. I am a consistent size 8 in shoes and boots and rarely size up except for running shoes. I did size up based on reviews and I’m glad I did. I don’t have wide feet, but they are pretty straight, so I need a toe box that works with that and these do fit well. They fit perfectly with average thickness socks. They are easy to put on and take off. I don’t have arch issues, so I can’t speak to that, but they are very comfortable. The first time I wore them I had a broken pinky toe and it didn’t seem to be bothered. You do not need to spray any kind of protectant on them. Their website tells you how to care for them—which is basically do nothing as they are good leather boots. These boots are so well made, and I love the olive coloring. They are truly leather and you can smell the leather. I know these will take me through many years in some crazy Colorado weather.

Wish I could love these

I ordered a half size up just as everyone suggested. Pros: Beautiful looking shoes Good packaging Smells of wonderful leather Stitched soles Arrived on time (although on the last day at the 8pm) Cons: The width is extremely small even though I ordered a half size up and had a tumb length of room at my toe.. I have really small feet (size 6 normally) and have never had this problem before Gave baby toe a blister after one use (not one day) Small thread on heal of shoe was sticking out and scratched up my heal (thread too small to cut) Can not easily slide foot in, you really have to hold onto the tab No support inside the shoe (very flat) and it’s too tight/small to fit your own insert Hard heal (not the type of shoe you can walk all day in) Could not figure a way to contact The company to let them know the problems These were the exactly shoes I had been looking for forever. They are leather, they are stitched soles, and the design is perfect... except for the width. I would of kept these shoes in an instant if they fit. A size up would have created too much room in the toe area. For how expensive they are they should fit properly. Unfortunately, I would not recommend these shoes to anyone due to the small width

Unsure if I'll keep them

I love the silhouette of this boot based off of other reviewers' pictures, it's nice and feminine. That being said though I don't know how I feel about it on me. I typically prefer a more rounded toe box. Because they are a more narrow shoe I did have to size up a half size. The first pair I order was my true size but it gave me awful blisters on the back of my heel. I was hesitant to try a half size up because I like my feet to look..smaller.. and they already from my perspective made my feet look bigger. I went with a half size up anyway and now I'm unsure if I'll keep them.
