4 1/2 stars rounded up to 5. The Thrive Ghizlan (plum mauve) lip liner arrived in a well-labeled, branded box. The plastic cap fits well, the end is color coded to the lip liner’s shade, the sharpener on the end was easy to pull out and use, and the liner retracts with an easy twist. The end is softly pointed, and I found it easy to define my lips after having used an overnight lip conditioner. This creamy liner went on smoothly with no dragging at all, there was no feathering or bleeding, and I found the well pigmented color to be slightly darker than my natural lip color with a bit of extra plum. It’s a versatile color for me that could even be blended into my lips with some clear gloss. I’ve worn this for a good two days and found it to have staying power. However, eating and drinking took a toll, as expected. I didn’t notice any obvious plumping, which isn’t important to me, but that’s why I’ve removed half a star. Leaping bunny icon & Cruelty Free and Vegan (text and PETA icon) for the win! An icon states the lip liner should be good for 24 months after opening. “Made in USA of global ingredients.”

Color: Ghizlan (Plum Mauve)
This color is described as a "plum mauve." When I think of mauve, I think of a cool-leaning mixture of gray and pink or gray and purple, which is not what I am seeing in this lip liner, so I actually looked up the definition of "mauve" just to make sure I don't just have the wrong color associated with this word. Merriam-Webster says "mauve" is "a moderate purple, violet, or lilac color," and that is not what this is. Instead, it is a warm cinnamon red-brown with hints of pink. It is a nice color and would work great with a range of red- or brown-based lip colors, but I think the name is a misnomer. I think it works best with warm skin tones (note, I actually have a cool undertone to my skin but it looks warmer in the photo due to self-tanner). The formula is smooth and it does stay on pretty well. The tip is very fine so this is not a liner you would want to use for shading, only for outlining, since you would run out of it quickly if you used it for shading. The fine tip does mean it's very precise though, which I like. I don't wear lipstick often but it did seem to help with grabbing lipstick and keeping the color from bleeding, and it did pretty well under a lip balm as well. Overall this is a nice formula if you are looking for a longer-wearing precision lip liner. The shade "Plum Mauve" is probably best suited to warmer skin tones.

I received this lip liner a few weeks back and have been using it on and off. It feels a bit stiffer than some of my other lines but it still goes on well and the pigment has been strong and lasting. I wouldn't say it has a plumping affect, but I suppose if you drew your lip liner out a bit more it could give the illusion of more plump lips. I'd say the most intriguing thing about this pencil that sets it apart from others is that it has a cute, little tiny sharpener on the end so you can always keep your pencil nice and sharp for those drawn on curves. No allergic reactions and no break outs, overall really happy with it!

I absolutely love this lip liner. The Ghizlan (Plum Mauve) shade is gorgeous with just the right mix of plum and mauve. It flatters my skin tone and works well for both daytime and evening looks. The texture is smooth and creamy, and it goes on easily without tugging. The shea butter really helps keep my lips feeling soft and hydrated. The plumping effect is subtle but noticeable, and there's no stinging or irritation. I also love the retractable design and the built-in sharpener, which makes it super convenient to use on the go. I really like this product, the way that is easily rolled on was amazing. The shea butter moisturized my lips. The color was perfect for my skin tone. I have thin lips and this product made my lips seem plumper. I put on at 7 am and by 10 am I had to touch up. By 12 pm, it was almost off and I reapplied. I don't typically wear a lot of lip liner so I'm not sure if that counts as "long wearing".

She goes on velvety smooth, the color is pigmented, and very accurate to the photos. Unfortunately for me, it's not my color AT ALL. I've been on the hunt for a perfect lip liner that matches my exact lip color.... No luck! However, just because it doesn't match me, that does not mean anything about the quality - which is good. I've worn makeup for MANY years and I can tell it's a quality product. Even the packaging was super nice. It's moisturizing, but, I don't believe there's staying power. That's something that's a deal breaker for me. If you're eating and so forth... You will need to reapply throughout the day.

I got the color plum mauve. I put it on my entire lip and I loved the color. It goes on kind of dry so you might need a gloss which is what I did. Although it goes on dry it does come off when I touched my lips. If you put it on and leave it for a few minutes then wipe it off it does leave a lighter subtle but pretty stain that stayed on for at least 4 hours. So far I’m pretty impressed.

This lip liner provides a rich and pigmented color that doesn't smudge. My favorite thing is the color, it is versatile and I have tried it with several different glosses. It is a good product, no fussing with a sharpener and having the tip break off, this is a twist up.
