Can be used with or without the rest of the train set. Uses wheels and gears to control crane arm and hoist - not just move either by hand - just like a real crane works. A learning experience as well as fun.

It is a standard plastic toy. The arm moves and allows it to pick up cargo to load train cars. It seems like it would be as expected. I didn’t take it out of the package because the child got another one. The free return shipping wasn’t really free unless you live near a UPS store. I had to pay 5.99 to take it to a UPS drop off to return it. This was very misleading. ... show more
